I did as I had promised myself, and spent the rest of my spare studying. I even studied a bit during Sports Med. Now, I was pulling on a pair of jeans, hoping once more that Jamie wasn't taking me somewhere fancy.

I was starting to think things over and I was getting pretty confused. The times that I'd kissed Jamie, it had been shy and cautious, but yet, when I made out with him in his house, it was a completely different story. He was harsh, bold, and generally rough. How could someone be so polar by kissing?

Wait.

Could it have been...

No. He would've said something, especially when I called him Jamie. He would've. Right..?

I decided not to think about it any further as I glanced at my reflection. My forehead was crinkled due to stress and confusion. I frowned further before using my fingers to massage out the tension. The doorbell rang and I jumped, my eyes flying to the digital clock by my bed.

6:30.

Shit. I grabbed a pair of socks and a satchel to hold my wallet as I ran down the stairs. Unfortunately, my dad beat me to the door and looked at Jamie was a questioning gaze.

"What's with the hood?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest, trying to look buff and intimidating. Still somewhat angry about the polyamorous thing, I tapped him on the shoulder.

"I'm going out, I'll be back later," I said, brushing past him.

"Wait, who is this? And where are you going?" He inquired, looking down at me with a quirked eyebrow. Who was she? Where were you going? I kept my questions to myself, but they were bubbling at the surface.

"His name is Jamie and we're going out," I snapped, reaching down and grabbing my shoes.

"Do I not get to meet him?" Do I not get to meet them? I ignored his question as I bit my tongue. I knew I'd only make the situation worse if I said anything, so I just grabbed Jamie's hand and dragged him out to his car across the street. My dad stood there with a puzzled look on his face, but I turned around so that I could see Jamie.

"Can I drive?" I asked with a laugh. Jamie's hood snapped towards me.

"Drive? You want to drive?" He questioned in what sounded like disbelief.

"Yeah...? If not that's okay," I said awkwardly, heading towards the passenger side, wondering what was wrong with Jamie.

"Have you driven before?" He continued, tapping his keys lightly against the hood of his car.

"I drove this car on the way back from our last date... remember?" I reminded him, smiling awkwardly. Jamie frowned before tossing me the keys.

"Right," he said as he walked around the car, his frown deepening. My eyebrows creased as I got into the driver's side, confused as hell. My concerns disappeared as I sat down in the leather seat, my hands on the smooth wheel. I adjusted my seat and pulled out of the drive way. As soon as we got onto the main road, a malicious grin made its way onto my face.

"Okay, so try not to-" Jamie didn't get to finish his sentence as I pushed the pedal down to the floor. I only brought us up to 70km/h, but the acceleration speed was incredible. "Holy fuck," I heard Jamie say beside me.

"So, where am I going?" I asked, slowing down to a reasonable speed. Jamie started calmly giving me orders on where to go, though he kept looking over at me from under his hood throughout the ride. We arrived at a diner, one I'd never been to before. It was designed exactly how you'd think a diner would look. Old, bright pink booths, bar stools along the counter, and giant tacky sign reading Flo's Diner.
