Johnny's POV
It's been about two months since that day. The day I had a memory of Kenzie. The day I met that strange girl in the office. The day I actually committed to Nadia and I's relationship. Today is my birthday. My mom claims this day as the 'day that changed her life' as I'm sure it did
"Happy Birthday!" My mom screamed bursting into my room with confetti and party blowers. I groaned cuddling more into my comforter.
"Five more minutes. Then it's my birthday." I groaned from under the covers. Before I could relax she yanked the covers from my body and threw confetti all over my bed
"Happy Birthday! NOW!" She cheered before blowing on the party blower
"Mom! It's so early though" I whined. I peeked my eyes open but flinching them closed at the bright light of my clock. I slowly opened them peering at the blurry numbers of the clock until it read 10:30 Am
Oh
"I let you sleep in today so get your lazy butt up and prepare for fun and games." She smacked my butt which was hanging freely in the air for her chance. I gapped my mouth open ready to scold my mom but she was already out the door
"That was uncalled for!" I yelled loudly making sure she heard me. I laid back on the bed trying to find a way back to sleep but luck wasn't on my side today
Phone rings
"What do you want?!" I screamed into the phone
"Jesz! Who shit in your birthday cake?"
"Sorry Hayden. Not really in a morning mood right now." I apologized sheepishly
"Well instead of a morning mood, get into a party mood, cause we have a day of fun stuff to do." Hayden said. His voice rose higher and higher as he went on thinking about the day
"Like?" I asked skeptically
"None of your business. Stop being greedy." He scolded
"You must be in n insulting mood today cause all you ever did in every sentence was insult me." I said
"Sure. We have the whole day planned out. You, Carson, Kenzie, Annie, Brynn and I all got you a present so don't go crying either."
"What about Nadia?" I sighed
"What about her?" He interrogated. He was annoyed by even mentioning her name.
"I mean she is my girlfriend so I would like her to enjoy my birthday with all my friends." I said with a pleading tone.
"I guess so. But if she gets bitchy and clingy she's gone." He said giving in. "Have you and Kenzie figured your stuff out?" He asked hesitantly
"You could say that. It's not awkward if that's what your wondering." I sighed
"It is actually. But I need to get dressed so Carson and I will be at your house in an hour?"
"Yeah that sounds good. Also, can Lauren come? I'll feel bad if she's here all day by herself."
"Yeah of course."
