"(Y/n), you look beautiful!" Camille gushed as I stepped out of my bathroom. I looked down at my outfit. I had on a black flowy skirt and white blouse with black peep toe heels. It wasn't anything too fancy.

I didn't know exactly were Damon was going to take me, so I didn't know what to wear. He only told me that he was going to be picking me up at seven.

"Really?" I asked her.

She nodded, "Yeah, you do."

I slipped on some jewelry as I tried not to look at the clock. He was supposed to arrive in ten minutes.

The weird thing was, I wasn't even nervous.

I didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing. I had been on quite a few first dates in my lifetime and I always seemed to be a little nervous. It was different this time.

Zayn had been wondering through my head the last two days. I didn't know where he was or what was going through his head, but I really did miss him.

It was crazy how all of this happened when it was all supposed to be professional. I didn't tell Camille about anything. She would just judge me and I knew that I wasn't in the mood to hear an 'I told you so' from her.

My family didn't try to contact me. After the first couple of calls and texts, they all stopped. I knew that they were furious about Zayn's true occupation. I wouldn't be surprised if they told the entire family about it.

I needed some time to myself. I knew that I couldn't go forever without talking to them, but I was hurt at how everything went.

I didn't cry over Zayn last night.

I did however, feel like I was empty without him. I knew that this date with Damon tonight was going to just distract me for a few hours. My thoughts were roaming around and I just wanted it all to stop.

Camille helped me touch up my hair a little until we heard the front doorbell ring.

"I'll wait here and lock up after you guys leave." Camille hugged me before I left my bedroom and went to answer my door.

I opened it and Damon was there. He was wearing a blue button down shirt with slacks and dress shoes. His hair looked like it always did, styled to perfection.

"You look amazing." He told me as he pulled me into his arms.

"Thank you, so do you." I said with a small smile. I stepped outside and closed my door behind me.

Damon and I headed into the elevator and went down to the lobby. I said hello to a few people that lived in my building as we walked out. Damon parked his car right in front of my building and he opened the passenger door for me.

I thanked him and he closed the door. Damon walked around and got into the car and we headed to the restaurant that he chose.

"I hope you like Italian food." He said as we stopped at a stop sign.

"I love it. Is it your favorite?"

Damon nodded, "Yeah, it always has been."

We made small talk on the way to the restaurant. Damon was easy to talk to since we have known each other for quite some time.

When we made it to the restaurant, the valet opened my door and I thanked him. Damon held his hand out for me to take and we walked inside.

The hostess brought us to our table and Damon pulled my chair out. He was truly a gentleman. Once he sat down, we looked up at our menus.

Damon spoke after a few minutes of silence, "So, do you have any photos from your parent's wedding?"

I didn't expect him to ask about that. "Uh, no. I was to busy running around to take any pictures."

"Did a lot of people attend the ceremony?"

"It was mostly family and my parent's close friends." I answered hoping that it would be the last question I would have to answer about the past weekend. I wanted to forget all about it if I could.

"Did you have any role in the ceremony?"

"I was a bridesmaid." I mumbled as I looked back down at the menu in front of me.

"I'm still really sorry that I couldn't attend the ceremony with you."

"It's fine!" I snapped and I saw that his eyes went wide a little at my reaction. "I'm sorry, Damon. I didn't mean to snap, it was just a really stressful weekend and I was hoping to forget about it."

He chuckled a little bit, "It's fine. I won't ask anymore questions."

I thanked him and our waiter appeared. "What can I get you to drink?"

"Can we get some red wine please?" Damon asked and the waiter nodded and left to get it.

It got a little awkward once the waiter left. I knew that it was because of the little moment that I had.

Once I had some red wine, I was feeling more relaxed. I ordered some the mushroom ravioli and so did Damon. He claimed that it was his favorite.

I absentmindedly checked my phone. I knew the real reason why I was looking. To see if Zayn texted me even though that I knew that he wouldn't.

I just wished that I could get him out of my head. I didn't think that it would be so hard. I felt bad that I was somewhat using Damon to get over Zayn, but I couldn't think of anything else that might work.

I took another sip of my wine as I looked around the restaurant. It wasn't full, but there were a few couples around. I looked to the door and saw more people coming in.

The hostess started walking into the main dining room and I felt my heart drop down to my stomach.

The couple that the hostess brought were going to sit at a table nearby Damon and myself. I felt like all of the bad things that I had ever done were coming back to bite me in the ass.

Zayn was there with another woman. He looked around the restaurant until his eyes landed on me. He stopped walking causing the woman he was with to wonder what he was doing.

"(Y/n)?"
