It was almost time for everyone to arrive. I was a little nervous and the event wasn't even for me.
"Babe? Do you need anything?" I walked over and asked the love of my life.
"No, I'm just nervous. How are you feeling?" He grabbed my hands and kissed the top of my head softly.
"Uncomfortable, but there isn't anything that I could really do about that." I chuckled.
"Why don't you go sit down for a while and I will bring you something to drink." Zayn suggested.
I shook my head, "No, I want to be here when the guests arrive."
"I hope our child isn't as stubborn as you are." Zayn joked as he placed a hand to my stomach. I was currently six months pregnant and very ready for our little one to be here already. We didn't know what the sex of the baby was. We wanted to be surprised, but it was easy to tell that Zayn wanted it to be a boy.
I knew he was going to spoil our kid regardless.
"I can't believe it's finally the day for your gallery to open." I said as I looked around at some of the beautiful artwork that Zayn created.
"Me too. I just hope that people will like my work."
"Of course they will, love."
He smiled, "Thanks for always being so supportive. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you."
"I'm your wife, Zayn. Of course I am going to be there for you. You can't get rid of me." I joked.
"I wouldn't want to." He leaned over and kissed me. The baby started to kick a little and it caused me to laugh.
"What is it?"
"The baby is kicking." I smiled.
He placed both of his hands on my stomach to try and feel it. The baby moved around and I saw Zayn smile.
"I cannot wait until you get here." He spoke to my stomach.
"Me too. Then we can spoil you for the rest of your life." I laughed.
The doors opened and in walked my mom and dad. I was glad to say that my relationship with my parents was a lot better than how it used to be.
I walked over to them, "I'm glad you guys could make it."
My dad smiled, "We wouldn't miss out on Zayn's big night."
Zayn came over to us and held his hand out for my dad to shake which he did, "Thanks, sir. It really means a lot that you both are here."
"We are glad that you invited us." My mom hugged him before she hugged me. I felt like she liked Zayn more than she liked me nowadays. I was just glad that we were all getting along.
"How are you feeling?" My dad asked me.
"Like I'm about to burst."
My mom touched my stomach, "I cannot wait for you to have your baby."
"I'm really nervous." I told her.
"Of course you are. It's your first child. You are going to be scared and nervous for the next eighteen years." My mom laughed.
The doors opened and in walked both of my brothers and their families. The relationship that I had with my brothers came a long way since my parents ceremony. We didn't talk for a few months, but then my parents knocked some sense into us. My brothers apologized for what they said about Zayn and even apologized to him.
"Wow, look at you!" Easton said when he came up to me.
"I know, I'm huge." I rolled my eyes as he hugged me.
Mark came to me next and hugged me also, "It's almost time, huh?"
I nodded, "Yes, you two better be at the hospital when I'm giving birth."
"We promise." They said at the same time.
More guests started to arrive along with Zayn's family. I met them shortly after Zayn and I got together. I got along really well with Zayn's mom and his sisters. We went out countless times and they were really nice people.
I chatted with his mom for a bit before I went along to greet all of the other guests that arrived. A lot of them loved the paintings that Zayn made.
I walked over to him when I saw that he had a minute alone. "How is everything going?"
He smiled, "Most of my paintings have already been sold. Everyone loves them."
I grabbed one of his hands, "I told you that people would! I'm so proud of you, Zayn."
Zayn kissed me softly, "Thank you for being there for me through everything."
"There isn't anywhere else that I would rather be." I smiled.
