Humpty Dumpty
Had a great fall
But do we even know why
He fell off that old wall?
Was the Sun in his eye?
Were his pants too tight?
Did he slip with the wind?
Maybe suffer a fright?
Did he need glasses
To judge the height from the ground?
Thought that he'd roll,
Being so curved and so round?
Was it a sneeze
That made him fall in a daze?
Or did he lean too far,
With a wandering gaze?
What if it was a master plan
By the King and his men?
Maybe poor Humpty knew too much
A clever means to an end?
But I don't understand
How there was nothing they could do
.. Did none of all the King's men
Even consider glue?
