I lay my head down, giving a soft sigh. I stood, deciding to risk it and speak to Mark. I gained a confused look from Phantom.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked as he furrowed his brows, placing a hand on his hip as his eyes stared right at me.
"To talk to Mark, chill its not like I'm gonna spill your secret or anything." I spoke as I rolled my eyes, wanting to be anywhere he wasn't at this point. He was hesitant, his eyes searching me for defiance and daring me to disobey.
"Fine." He spoke as he stepped aside, his eyes still trained on me and never failing to even so much as glance away. I gave a sigh as I walked to the door, making sure that I still had the card. As the door shut behind me, I had no choice but to stare at the door directly across the hall from mine. It made me frown, sadness filling my expression. It was Sean's door. Hell, Mark and the Ethan didnt even know yet.. I turned, walking to Marks door instead which was to the left of mine. But I paused, my sheer curiosity forcing me to look back as I heard a door open. My eyes widened, the man stepping out rubbing his face drowsily before running his fingers through his disheveled bed hair.
"Oh my god," I muttered so quickly as I rushed forwards, wrapping my arms tightly beneath his as I gave him a hug. The hug was filled with relief and happiness at the sight of the man.
"Um-.. I missed you too, (Y/n)." He spoke as he pat my back in an awkward manner. I pulled away to look up at him. "Aw, what's wrong lass?" He asked as he furrowed his brows, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"But.. You're dead." I spoke in disbelief as I pulled away from him, stepping back a foot or so as I kept my gaze up at him. He seemed to give a surprised look, his eyebrows raising slightly.
"I- uh.. I feel like it, but I'm a healthy boy." He spoke as he gave a light chuckle, not seeming to allow any awkward atmosphere to settle. Maybe out of discomfort. I hugged my arms around my stomach as I soon began to choose my words very carefully.
"Oh.. Yeah. It was just a nightmare.." I lied quietly, turning my head away a bit so as to not look directly at him.
"I see, well my apologies." He spoke as he pat my shoulder sympathetically.
"I'm gonna go talk to Mark, you continue doing what you were doing." I told him as I gave a kind smile, him returning it with a wave as he walked away. I nodded my head softly as I turned to Marks door, knocking against it lightly. There didn't seem to be a response for a while. Then, the door finally opened. There stood Mark. His appearance seemed a bit different somehow, but I couldn't pin down just how.
"Hey Mark, everything going ok?" I asked as he pursed his lips softly. He shook his head no in a sad manner.
"No, he only seems to be getting worse by the minute." He replied with a grim expression as he glanced behind him a moment before returning his attention to me. "Please, come in." He spoke as he backed up, allowing me entrance into his room. "Those medicines you gave him earlier helped a bit, but he doesn't seem to remember taking them. Its odd." He added as he looked at Ethan a moment.
"I never brought the medicine here though.. After I was ki- er- I mean pranked." I quickly caught myself, almost destroying everything with a simple slip up. "It got lost." I finished, crossing my arms over my chest as I kept my attention to him. This seemed to baffle him as he gave a puzzled expression.
"But you went to the Cafe, then you came here to give him his medicine, then just disappeared and that's when I got your call." he explained as he decided to sit on the edge of his bed.
"No.. Sean picked me up saying you had to go do something." I replied as I decided to sit in the seat across from him.
"Wrong, I drove you home after you took so short of a time in the store." Mark seemed just as confused as I was.
"Mark, no. Trust me, I never got in the car with you, I left with Sean." I shook my head softly.
"So I drove someone who looked like you to your hotel room?" He asked as he gave a worried expression.
"What?" I asked as I gave an incredulous expression. "That can't be possible that I came with you though, because Sean picked me up saying that you told him you had to do something." I explained in a very confused manner.
"I didnt tell Sean to do anything. I hadn't seen him since yesterday when he wasn't in his room." He explained in a tone matching my own. Confused.
"Speaking of Sean, Mark.. I-" I thought about my words very carefully for a moment before leaning closer and beginning to whisper in a voice I believed only he could hear and not even Ethan. "I watched Nathan kill him.. But it wasn't Nathan, he says his name is Phantom." I explained as his eyes widened.
"(Y/N).. You have to leave." He spoke as he looked down at me, grabbing my shoulders.
"He's alive now though, because I made a wish of some sort-"
"You have to go. Now." He demanded in a rather harsh tone.
"Mark.. Let her stay.." It was Ethan who we had awoken. His voice was so sickly and weak sounding.. That poor boy.. I looked at Mark with pleading eyes as a mental battle appeared to be waging in his mind while he debated. He gave an audible sigh.
"Fine, fine. But you must leave in exactly one hour." He pulled out his phone, setting it for sixty minutes, or, one hour. I had wondered what the big rush was. Was someone coming here? Did he know it was so dangerous? Even if he did know, then how?
"Mark, Sean's alive though.." I added, quiet enough so Ethan couldn't hear. He looked at me.
"That's good.. But if he killed him then he had a good reason.." He added as he shook his head softly.
"I wasn't pranked.. I was kidnapped by Sean. I don't know what was going on through his head when he murdered Sean, but he decided to sexually harass me afterwards.." Marks expression seemed to become more surprised at my words as he turned to look at me.
"No.." He spoke as his expression turned from confused to horrified.
"..what?" I asked after a moment of silence.
"You signed a contract, didn't you?" He spoke as if he had seen this before. Has he met Phantom before, and just didn't tell anybody?
"No, but he made me say some words-" I spoke as I furrowed my brows, wondering if I had done something wrong. Did I? I didn't think so. After all, if I didn't then Sean wouldn't still be here now.
"Thirty minutes." Mark said, forcing me to have thirty minutes shorter than originally. What did he seem so afraid of?
"You owe me an explanation Mark-" I spoke as I squinted my eyes at him a bit. Now that I thought of it, if anyone owed me an explanation or at least an apology then that would be Phantom. I clenched my hands into fists as a knock came to the door. I looked at Mark with a pleading expression. I had hoped so strongly that it wasn't he who's name shall not be spoken or thought of.
