When the bell rang for interval, I ran out of the classroom and reached the courtyard to find Ash. I looked around in search for my brother, who I found, surrounded by his friends. He was busy chucking a football over one of his friends head while laughing his laugh that sounds identical to mine. He laughs for me, because the only person I laugh with was dad and Charlotte. Well, before he was taken off to prison with Hiram and she started working full time.

Ash noticed me staring and pushed through the other jocks to run over to me. When he reached me, he tightly wrapped his arms around me in order to comfort me. I rested my head on his chest and accepted the hug, which I rarely do with him.

I knew that people would be staring at us but I ignored them. He bent his neck to give me a nuzzle with his face and I stared up into his eyes which had a hint of sadness in them.

"Paris, what's wrong?" He asked with concern in his voice, I rested my face back on his chest and then unwrapped his arms from my small body.

"Nothing, I'm just a bit overwhelmed and needed to see someone I know," I mumbled to him and he just stared at me but said nothing, leaving awkward silence between us.

"Hey, Ash tray! Get over here!" One of the boys from the football team yelled his nickname from their table, causing my brother to look down at me with a 'can I please go?' look and I nodded permission. He turned around and went back to his table before being tackled to the ground by a footballer known as Reggie. I was half way from walking back inside, when I heard my name being called from a table.

I looked back to see Archie standing up beside his friends, becoming me. I slowly walked over to him and took a seat beside Betty.

"Oh, hey, Paris Tyse," Veronica addresses me, using my full name which I hated. Once sitting down, I gave her a small smile and a wave before staring at my hands on my lap. Archie started talking to me but I ignored him and just let my thoughts roam around in my empty head.

"Tyse?" I heard my last name being repeated, so I looked up and stared at him. "You weren't listening to me, what's up?" He asked, I felt everyone's eyes on me but I just shrugged my shoulders. When I was about to look down again, I caught the eye of someone that was walking right towards me, her hips swaying with sass and realized that Archie had suddenly disappeared.

"Veronica Lodge, I'd heard whisperings," the red head from the bathroom made herself noticed as she stood over us. Her hair fell off her shoulder and I couldn't help but stare at her.

The butterflies returning when she noticed and quickly connected our eyes then turned back to the raven haired girl. My head quickly twitched to the side and I grabbed my throat to stop myself. "I'm Cheryl Blossom -" so that's her name, she's the sister of Jason, the one who drowned. "- May I sit? Betty, would you mind?"

I saw Betty's face shift to uncomfortable when Cheryl pushed her to the side and sat down to address Veronica again, this time, her gaze flicked to me and she gave me a wink. My eyes widened and I felt my stomach explode.

I'm going to vomit, I need to get out of here. I stood up abruptly and took off towards the girls' bathroom, still ignoring people's voices when they tried to call me back. When I got there, I shut the door to my cubical and sunk to the floor. What is going on? Why am I getting terrified around this girl when I never even knew she existed before today?

There was a knock on my cubical, which interrupted my thoughts. I mumbled back a response, but they weren't convinced and slowly pushed my door open.

Dang it, I forgot to shut the lock.

A blonde head appeared in front of me, a look of concern written all over her face. I couldn't see it because of my fuzzy vision, but I recognized the faint voice I could hear through the ringing in my ears.

"Paris, are you okay?" Betty asked, sitting down beside me on the bathroom floor, and lightly pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms tightly around her neck, not tight enough to hurt her. She tightened her grip, as if I had given her permission to touch me, and started rubbing circles on my back.

I never let people touch me, unless it's Charlotte or dad before he went to prison. Mum and I were never close because she was close with Ash and we used to fight all the time. That was until mum passed away when we were about twelve, we're sixteen now. Ash now tries hard to hug me, but I'm a very restricted person and I barely let anyone in. Yet, this hug with Betty was different.

"It's like I live in this bathroom," I paused, waiting for a response and when I heard a small laugh escape her lips, I continued, "welcome to my new home." I chuckled and felt her smiling back on my neck. As I was about to say something else, I heard the bell ring and we let go of each other. She had a smile on her face and I couldn't help but smirk and tease her. "So, you like Archie?" I lifted my eyebrows up and she let out a laugh, while lightly flicking my arm.

"Is it that obvious?" She asked and I nodded making kissy lips and laughing. Wow, she's so nice. I would fall her if I liked girls, but I don't. But, if I were Archie, I'd never let her go.

"What class do you have?" I asked her when she helped me up off the floor. She told me math and I told her I did too. "Let's go," and with that, we left to go to class.
