"Mom, why must I move?!" Jennie yelled in frustration before sitting down on her bed.

"This place is not safe for someone like you," Her mother responded with slight annoyance in her tone. "Tomorrow, you WILL move to Riverdale and you WILL stay there with the Coopers." She said before looking into Jennie's eyes.

"I'm fine with leaving this dump, but why are you staying here? We can bother move to Riverdale and start over." Jennie suggested as she held her mother's hand firmly.

"No." Her mother responded quietly.

"I don't understand, why can't you go with me?"

Jennie's mother immediately turned around to hide her tears. "You don't understand, I have to stay."

"Then I'm not leaving."

"No, you will leave tomorrow morning." She responded firmly.

"You just want me out the house, don't you?" Jennie asked as she got up. Her mother remained silent. "I guess that's a yes." Tears slowly started to form. "If you want me to leave so badly, then why don't I just leave now? Since all my clothes were packed by YOU." Jennie empathized the last word.

"No, Jennie, please listen to me. You know that I didn't mean it like that. Please just stay for tonight and leave, as planned, tomorrow. I promise you, once I settled everything, I will move to Riverdale and find you. Please believe me."

Jennie took in a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks before responding, "Fine."

"You're excited aren't you?" Alice asked, quickly glancing over at Betty.

Betty looked over at her mother with a wide smile. "Of course, I'm going to pick up my childhood best friend, who I haven't seen in years." She responded. She looked back down at her hands again. "I'm also nervous, do you think she'll remember me?" Betty asked while looking at her mother again.

"Don't worry, Sweet heart, I'm sure she'll remember you." Alice responded with a smile.

Once they arrived at their destination, Jennie was seen waiting with her bags in her hands. Betty quickly got out the car to greet her. "Hi, Jennie, I'm Betty, I hope you still remember me." She said with a wide smile.

Jennie racked through her mind trying to see if a Betty would pop up. "I'm sorry, I don't." Jennie said quietly.

Betty's smile slowly faded before being picked up again. "That's okay, we have plenty of time to get to know each other again." She said.

It was a quiet ride back to Riverdale. Jennie settled in Polly's room while Betty was in her room talking to Jughead. A soft knock was heard. Betty immediately turned around. "Hey, Jug, I'll call you back, okay? Bye." Betty said before hanging up the call.

"Was I interrupting something? I can come back another time." Jennie said quietly.

"No, it wasn't anything. Did you have a question? Do you need anything?" Betty kindly asked.

"I was just going to ask if you could give me a tour around Riverdale." Jennie said before smiling slightly.

"Of course, I would love to." Betty said as she grabbed her keys. "You don't mind walking, do you?" She then asked.

"Of course, I don't." Jennie responded. Betty and Jennie made their way around town showing Jennie around. "Wow, Riverdale has some interesting places. I love it here already." Jennie said, causing Betty to smile.

"So," Jennie suddenly said. "Who were you talking to? A friend? Or boyfriend?" Jennie asked.

"Actually it was. Jughead." Betty replied while looking at Jennie with a wide smile.

"Jughead?" Jennie asked as her brows furrowed in confusion.

"You'll meet him tomorrow, along with my friends and the Serpents."

Jennie couldn't help but let out a small giggle. "I'm sorry, the Serpents?" Jennie asked with a smile.

"Everything will make more sense tomorrow."
