The next morning, Jennie woke up early to get ready for her first day of school. Today won't suck, will it? Jennie asked herself as she patiently waited for Betty in her room. A knock was heard before Alice said something. "Breakfast is ready," Alice said before opening the door. "Why don't you come down for some?"

Jennie followed Alice downstairs and into the kitchen. "Are you nervous?" Alice suddenly asked. 

Jennie nodded her head slowly. "Yeah, kinda." She said quietly.

"Is there anything that you're at least excited for?"

"I'm not that excited for school, but I am excited to meet new people." Jennie said before taking a bite out of her toast.

Betty came down the stairs with her backpack. "Good morning, mom, Jennie"

Jennie looked at Betty while smiling "Morning."

"Did you sleep well, last night?"

"Yeah, everything was great."

Once both of them finished their breakfast, they got ready to leave. On their way to school, Archie and Veronica decided to join them.

Jennie greeted them politely, before introducing herself. "Well, nice to meet you, I'm Veronica Lodge, and this is Archie, my boyfriend." Veronica said as she held out her hand for Jennie. 

Like usual, Betty, Archie, and Veronica talked the entire way to school, while Jennie remained silent. Jennie and Betty went to pick up her schedule before bringing Jennie to where Betty and her friends would hang out. 

"Hey, Jughead." Betty greeted her boyfriend as they shared a kiss. 

Jughead's eyes immediately landed on Jennie. "Who's that?" Jughead asked, gesturing towards Jennie.

"Jughead, this is Jennie, my childhood best friend who recently moved back in town." Betty said with a wide smile. As Betty was introducing Jennie to the rest of the group, Fangs walked through the door alone. 

"Hey, Fangs, where's Sweet Pea?" Toni immediately asked.

"He's out for Today, he wasn't feeling that well." He answered before looking over at Jennie and smiling.

"What happened, did he get sick or something?" Jughead asked as he took a seat next to Betty.

"Him being Sweet Pea, he got into with some Ghoulies."

"Of course." Toni mumbled to herself as she rolled her eyes. 

"Ghoulies?" Jennie immediately asked. Everyone's attention was now on her. Jennie let out a small chuckle before continuing. "That pathetic gang is still active?" She then asked.

"Yeah, of course. Why, do you know them?" Betty asked as her brows furrowed in confusion.

"I was on." Jennie responded as a small smile formed.

"You're a Ghoulie?" Jughead asked as he got up from his seat.

"Was," Jennie corrected. "There's a huge different between was and am, Jughead."

Jughead sat back down next to Betty. "Well, what happened?"

"I became a Ghoulie by force, I didn't really have a choice. Even though I was a Ghoulie, I didn't do the shit they did. I didn't race for fun and I certainly didn't do nor deal drugs. Long story, short, I fought for my life the day I said I didn't want to be associated with them anymore."

"By force?" Betty asked. "Why? Did they do something to you?"

"That is a story for another time." Jennie responded with a small smile.
