Bromance (Josh And Tyler)

August 5 2015 (part 4)

(Josh)

"You're playing Lane Boy?" I asked Tyler, trying to hide the fact I was flustered.
He looked at me and smiled, "Yeah, I am."
"Oh, okay I guess I'll get off stage so you can perform the song."
I started to stand up and get out of my chair when Tyler grabbed my hand and pulled me back into my chair. "Josh, don't go yet."
I smiled slightly "Okay."
Tyler spoke into the microphone "Before I move onto the next song I want to share to you guys a short story, it's about the time I shared this song to Josh, well the lyrics for the first time."
I chuckled slightly remembering the story.
"....Josh is the first person I show my lyrics too, and not just because he's in my band, but because he is Twenty One Pilots number one fan."
The crowd laughs and some clap. I look back at Tyler and see him smiling, as the noise dies down Tyler resumes his story.
"Anyways, I showed Josh the lyrics and after he finished reading them he asked "umm Tyler, did you get into my dash cam footage." I was then laughing because the face Josh had was priceless. I don't know what he said during his drive that day but it must not have been something he wanted me to hear."
The crowd laughed.
"So then after I laughed Josh assumed I did see the footage and he ranted on and on about how he was angry that a driver didn't stay in his lane and he was going all up in Josh's lane, which kinda freaked me out that we both said, well I wrote "stay in your lane boy!" But it was a total coincidence!"
I smiled as I laughed slightly and looking at Tyler. I leaned into the microphone "I'm still convinced Tyler went through my footage and used my words as the lyrics to his new song." The crowd erupted with laughter.
"Well that's not true!" Tyler said sassily.
I laughed and stepped off the stage and went to my chair. I'm glad that awkward moment is now gone and I was able to enjoy the moment. Sometimes when something awkward happens it ruins my whole experience, but I'm glad it's over now.
"Well is now gonna play the song inspired by Josh's footage."
There was laughter, but it quickly settled down and Tyler started to play the song as he smiled. He looked around as he strung his ukulele and I sat there listening to him sing, watching him, and I hope that doesn't sound creepy or weird. I mean I guess it's not since the whole crowd is watching him....right. I looked at the crowd, sure enough they were watching, but they probably are not watching Tyler's every move, the way his fingers gracefully play the ukulele, or the way his nose moves and he breathes, or his beautiful.... wait what the chalupa cravings box am I thinking. Is it normal to be thinking this, for me it is but is it generally normal. I need to stop!
"...high way, high way, but will they be tomorrow, they think this is a highway, highway but will they be like tomorrow."
He stopped playing and the clapping started. He smiled and thanked the crowd "Thank You very much!"
He fixed his sweater than looked over at me. He leaned into the microphone and spoke as he smiled.
"Josh." He spoke very close to the mic, "Come here."
I stood up and sat next to him. "I know what you're thinking."
What am I thinking, wait does he know I'm thinking, or I was thinking about him... playing the song.
"What?"
He looked over at me and smiled widely "To answer your question."
My breathing stopped and I got nervous, I looked up at Tyler.
He smiled "I did go through your footage."
The crowd laughter and I sat there astonished.
I blushed deeply and chuckled nervously, "Umm, how much did you see...."
Tyler chuckled, "I'll never tell!" And with that he began to thank everyone for coming to the show and he thanked the company for having us there to preform. He stood up and went over to the producer to talk, I sat there shocked, Tyler herd me ranting about the boy who wouldn't stay in his lane, but I really hope Tyler didn't see the footage of me talking about him to one of my friends....
