I tell them about your
Smile.
How it both
Calms my soul,
And sets my heart
Ablaze.
I tell them about your
Voice.
How I'd ask just about
Anything
In hopes that you'd reward me with
That sweet golden honey,
Thick
Warm
Or your laugh
How it
Comforts me
Like a nap during a thunderstorm.
I tell them about your hair
How it reminds me
Clouds
Yet when I close my eyes,
I imagine sunkissed sand,
Slipping slowly through my fingers.
I tell them about your
Smell.
Like Thanksgiving day
Food,
Family,
Happiness,
Love,
And all of the things
That I am thankful for.
I tell them about your
Mind.
How with every thought you share
I am constantly learning.
How you've helped me
Rediscover
The stars in my eyes and
The world at my feet
And because of this
I fear I have nothing
To teach you in return.
So when they ask
Because I know they will
I tell them about how
I fell in love
With a dream
(That may never come true...)
