Emily walked out of Alex's house in Alex's clothes. She was fighting with her since Alex was trying to protect her.
"You just shouldn't keep protecting me. I'm not yours! Just leave me alone, your hands are bruised and cut because of your anger. Would you chill out? He can't harm me no more, and I don't know how you got a video of us fighting."
Emily walked away and called her mom. Alex tried to talk to her but she wouldn't listen.
"I'm the only one willing to protect you and you just push me away as if I did something wrong. What did I ever do wrong to you?"
On the verge of crying Alex and Emily both sucked in the their tears and faced each other.
"What is it that you want from me? It's not sex! Why do you love me? I've been trying my best for you not to fall in love with me. Why? Because I don't wanna fall for you. I'm tired of falling in love. Seems like you don't understand that though. Just please... Leave me alone... I need some time to think."
Alex's tears fell and she walked back into the house, but before she did, she said one last thing to Emily in a quiet tone of voice.
"For me it wasn't always sex with you. I loved you for you. But ok. If this is what you want. Bye."
Alex went back inside her house and took a hold of her phone and keys. She wiped her tears and sucked it up. She went to the bathroom and fixed her short hair. She went upstairs and put some nice clothes on. She headed for the the door with tears still in her eyes, but she no longer wanted to cry. She didn't wanna cry for Emily. She came out of her house and got in her car, Emily stared at her, still waiting for her mom.
"Where are you going?"
Emily's tone of voice being worried and Alex shrugged.
"Out. Its not your business though. Bye."
Alex acted heartless but inside it stung like a bitch. She started her car and remembered there was a bar around the corner. The best way to forget Emily. She wasn't going to wait around when Alex did all that she could to protect Emily. She parked at the bar and she stepped in. The smell of alcohol consumed the room, but she was used to it. The bar tender called out to her, he knew her from back then when she always came in.
"Alex. My man. How are you? Long time no see. How's the girl?"
Alex laughed and shook the bar tender's hand.
"Which one? And and yes its been a long time Jack."
It was a joke between them. Alex had hundreds of girls, all at one time, but now it was different. She was crying over one girl. The bar tender laughed and poured her favorite drink.
"Still the same drink I'm guessing? A Manhattan."
Alex nodded and took the drink and drank a bit.
"Mmm this is amazing. Fuck I can't believe I left the bar for some girl."
The bar tender and Alex laughed and they caught the attention of a girl in the corner. She came over and sat next to Alex.
"Hi, I'm Rachael."
