Chapter 10

The following week passed without much event. Monday I had asked Amanda to come to dinner with us and she was very excited. We exchanged numbers and she had started texting me, I was excited for the prospect of a new friendship. Dean had started work on the French doors he also had brought over his flatscreen tv from his bedroom at home for the living room. I read way more into it than I should have, in my mind I imagined him slowly moving in piece by piece.

Tuesday I invited Elle May when she came in for lunch and she was so excited. After work I decided to head out to the barn and try to work on cleaning it out a bit. I started by grabbing a rake off the wall and pulling all the hay and leaves and dirt out. The barn was very dusty but as the floor started to be cleared and I opened both ends and the windows on the sides it really started to help it. My phone went off around 430 and my face lit up.

I really wanted the barn to be a surprise so I didn't want to tell him

- [ ] Just hanging out. Are you still in Alexandria?

- [ ] Yea working for the Thibodaux again lol eventful

- [ ] Oh man enjoy

- [ ] I'll text you in a little while I just wanted to talk to you. can't wait to see you tomm.

I got back to work on the barn.

Wednesday was even more uneventful I was so happy when I woke up and Dean was there with my coffee, then I came home and he was waiting for me. He had finished the French doors and suprised me a barn door style bedroom door. It slid open and shut I loved it. He was going to do the same for the rest of the bedroom doors in the hallway. I was so excited for our night together, I had missed him in my bed. I missed his smell on the pillow next to me and I missed waking up next to him. But the weekend was coming soon and I got 4 days in a row of sleeping entwined in him.

Thursday I worked in the barn again after work while texting him too. I knew I'd leave the wood work to him, sanding and staining and other big stuff. But it was completely cleared out and actually really big. I drove to leesville and got the stuff to make the dinner on Saturday and a crockpot and a dinner set or glass plates and cups.

Friday finally came and our work weeks were over. I rushed home and ran to the door. Dean was waiting for me and caught me as I jumped in his waiting arms.

" how was work?" he asked squeezing me against his chest

" good but I missed you this week"

" I missed you too"

" I enjoyed our nights don't get me wrong, but Tuesday and Thursday sucked!"

" yea I know. So the house obviously isn't done but it's ready for tomorrow. I asked Logan when We went to work Tuesday and he said sure. But I didn't tell him Amanda was coming. Are you excited? " he smile on his face did a number on my stomach.

" I'm so excited "

"I changed the front door today, and the shutters on all the windows do you like it?"

He moved aside and revealed a beautiful black door with Windows panes in it. And black shutters were on the sides of every window of the house it was beautiful.

" in two weeks you have completely transformed this house!!! I absolutely love it.Well I have a small suprise for you."

" you're not allowed to suprise me. This house is like my baby. I'm having so much fun fixing this house"
