Dean stood at my door with khaki pants, a button down shirt and a black tie holding a bouquet of flowers. His ash blonde hair was neatly fixed and had hair product in it and he smelled heavenly. I was use to seeing him dressed in jeans and a tee shirt and admiring how hot he was like that but this was an all new level. I stared for a minute or two not saying a word before I realized he was not speaking either. Our silence was broken once again by Stella carrying Roman to the door, paws dragging the floor, the poor puppy already would do anything for his little girl.

" you look beautiful. That dress is incredible on you, I want to use so many adjectives right now to describe you"

I figured his eyes would venture up and down my frame, but they staid locked on mine. Always the gentleman.

" you look amazing Dean."

" we should go."

I put Roman In his cage and we walked to my truck. He put Stella in her car seat and got in the driver seat. As soon as he pulled out of the drive way he grabbed my hand and set our entwined hands on his leg. It was a short drive over to Elle mays house and Stella was more excited than I thought she would be. She practically jumped out of her seat when she saw her come to the door shouting 'Elle, elle' which made me feel more at ease as we walked to the door.

" bless your heart, my lord you children look beautiful!"

" thanks grandma" dean told her

"Thanks Elle "

" hello, my dear Stella. I have so much for us to do tonight are you ready?"

" yes! Bye momma. Bye Deany."

" bye baby girl" dean said calling her the cute pet name I loved so much

"Bye hunney I love you."

I kissed her on the forehead and watched the walk inside. Dean grabbed my hand and we walked back to the truck.

" are you ready? " he asked

" you have no idea" I exclaimed

He opened my door and watched me climb in and shut the door behind me. We drove to Alexandria and the hour drive went by fast with small talk, we pulled into a small fancy steak house apparently right on time. As soon as we walked in they took us right to our table. They girl who sat us never took her eyes off of Dean and told him ' if you need anything please don't hesitate to find me' he didn't say a word or look her way and I gave her a death stare, she never saw me.

" what's wrong" he asked me

" huh?"

"You're making a face" be smirked

" oh that girl was throwing herself at you, you didn't notice"

"No, so where are you from?" He asked unfazed by the hostess.

" originally Washington D.C."

" both parents?"

"Yes"

" and why didn't you go back home when you left? Wouldn't they help you?"

" they don't even know about Stella, Austin wasn't big on family, so I choose him over them. I was a horrible person for it. And I haven't talked to them since."

" you're not horrible for it, you were young and in love at the time. It changes your head."

A waiter came to the table and took our drink orders. Dean reached across the table and played with my hand. I noticed as almost every woman in the restaurant glanced at him at least twice but his eyes never once left my face or my hand. The waiter brought my glass of wine and Dean's beer then took our dinner orders. I couldn't have imagined this date going any better.
