Suddenly Lifa sat up

Suddenly Lifa sat up. She was confused. This was a quite different place compared to where she was a few seconds ago. And why was Elijah standing in front of her? Before she could ask herself why there were so many coffins in this room, she realized what happened.

She was daggered. Her own father daggered her. After all the times he promised he would never do this to her. She was shocked... She was disappointed and sad.

Elijah now spoke to her. His voice was soft and caring as if he was afraid to scare her away. "Hey little one, how are you feeling?" She didn't reply. She didn't know how to feel. She felt so many emotions. She felt betrayal, disappointment, fear, concern, and sadness but she was sure she wasn't happy.

Elijah was about to say something as Rebekah sat up. She clearly looked different from the last time they had seen each other. She wore a red dress in a style Lifa didn't recognize. Her hair was done completely differently.

Rebekah looked around cursing quietly but still hearable about 'the doppelbitch'. She then got out of the coffin. She went to Elijah and hugged him. "It's good to see again, brother"

After that, she walked towards Lifa, who still sat in the coffin because it was surprisingly comfortable. Lifa stood up and hugged Rebekah.

"Hey, kid" Lifa had to chuckle about her getting called that. Not many people would call a centuries-old immortal kid but maybe somethings just don't change even if you get older. Her family still saw her as a child.

"Hey, Aunt Bekah."The two let go of each other as they noticed a sudden movement. They turned around and saw Kol awake. He looked exactly the same he did such a long time ago.

He appeared directly in front off his family members using his supernatural speed. "So how long was I gone?"

He asked with his typical grin. It was a painful reminder to Lifa how used to it he had gotten as if it wasn't a horrible betrayal but just something that people had to expect when being close to Niklaus.

Lastly, Finn got up. When Lifa last saw him she was thirteen or fourteen. It was back when she still aged physically.

His appearance didn't change since then. Lifa realized how weird they must have looked together at that moment.

Now that all were awoken Elijah filled them in on how they would leave after they said hello to Klaus.

Elijah then went away towards a guy with black hair and blue eyes, Damon Salvatore. That gave Lifa time to think about it. The first thing she should do would be to get out of this city and away from her father. Then she should figure out if Marcel still was alive and his relationship status, because over fifty years are a long time. When she had the facts she should make her decisions.

She now concentrated on the talk in the dining room.

"Elijah... Why haven't you left?" She heard her father ask his brother. Who simply answered: "Where are your manners brother? We forgot dessert." Then there was the sound of a woman walking on the wooden floor and something that sounded metallic.

It must have revealed something extremely shocking because Lifa's father asked: "What have you done?" Lifa could hear her uncle reply: "What have you done? You see, I've learned not to trust your vulgar promises, Klaus. We're doing this on my terms now."

This was her moment. She entered the room alongside Kol.

"Lifa... Kol" He seemed almost scared. Kol replied full of himself: "Long time, brother." While Lifa chose to just put on her Mikaelson smirk and lean against the doorframe to watch the scene.

Niklaus started to back away from Kol who looked as if he wanted revenge. But Klaus had no chance to get away because suddenly Finn appeared, grabbed a dagger, and stabbed his brother through the hand. "Finn, don't" He rushed away fearfully, but run into his sister. "Rebekah!" She stabbed him smiling and he sunk together with a hurt expression. "This is for our mother."

She pulled the dagger out and Klaus fell back but got caught by Kol who ran there using his vampire speed.  Kol restrained him.

Elijah looked at the Salvatore brothers. "You're free to go this is family business."

Lifa was clearly the least angry Mikaelson in the room. She sat calmly in one of the chairs. While her uncles all stood near her father and her aunt walked up and down. Rebekah spoke up: "I like what you've done with the new place, Nik." She threw a vase onto a painting and the painting fell down.

With a hurt expression, Klaus explained: "I wanted it to be for all of us. A place we could all call home. A place we could all be a family. None of us would ever have to be alone again." Elijah replied: "Well you're right, none of us will be." Then he walked over to Rebekah.

Klaus looked at his daughter. Lifa looked at Elijah not able to return his glare. Kol stepped forward to take the possibility to look at his niece from his brother because he could feel how uncomfortable she was.

"You're staying behind.", continued Finn his brother's statement and followed him. "We're leaving you, Nik. Right after I kill that doppelgänger wench, then you will be alone. Always and forever.", added Rebekah. Lifa now stood up and walked next to Kol. So that  Finn, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, and Lifa stood in a row.

"If you run, I will hunt all of you down.", he treated balling his fists angrily. But Elijah replied without a trace of fear: "Then you'll become everything you hate. Our father." Klaus answered shouting even more aggressively: "I'm the hybrid! I can't be killed! I have nothing to fear from any of you." "You will when we have that coffin", said Elijah coldly. Lifa was curious about what was so powerful that her father feared it.

Klaus was about to reply something but they all heard a door open. The unusual family turned towards the noise. Everyone's expression turned shocked as they saw a middle-aged woman with long hair who was dressed like the people did in Lifa's childhood.

Not everyone was shocked Lifa was curious. She had no idea who this woman was.

The women walked on towards Klaus who had gasped when she first entered. Rebekah now finally spoke up: "Mother?" That answered Lifa's question. This was Esther Mikaelson, the original witch, her grandmother.

Esther now stood right in front of Klaus but he still avoided looking at her. "Look at me! Do you know why am here?", she asked. With tears in the eyes, he answered: "You're here to kill me." She answered with a voice full of kindness and love: "Niklaus, you are my son and I am here to forgive you. I want us to be family again."
