At the morning after the ball, Kol Klaus and Lifa sat in the living room. Klaus sketched on the couch while Lifa who sat next to him read in a history book trying to catch up with the time she had missed.
When Rebekah entered the room Lifa looked up from her book. "Well, well, well, there's our girl!", said Kol standing up to block her way. "Get out of my way, Kol", replied Rebekah annoyed. "Out all night. What a scandal! I trust you did better than that commoner? Matt, was it?", he teased. "If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out will be your teeth", threatened Rebekah her brother Kol. Klaus grinned at his sibling as if he was about to comment the situation but before he even had a chance to start Rebekah stopped him: "Don't start, Nik!" "I didn't say anything.", replied Klaus still grinning.
"I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment", changed Kol bored the topic. "Do you join me, Liv?", added Kol towards his niece. "Sure", answered the brunette and stood up. Kol smiled at her and turned around to his brother: "What about you, Nik?" "Okay. Why not? I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Rebekah's date", replied Klaus.
The three of them had made their way into the Mystic Grill they heard two people Lifa didn't know jet theorizing about who did the last murders in the town. Kol and Klaus walked over to the bar and Klaus replied to the two: "Oh come on now. Let's not go blaming the new family in town just because you lot have got yourselves a killer at large. Don't mind us. We are just here in the Grill to let off some steam, right Kol?" "Right", Kol agreed.
Kol eyed the beautiful woman with brown eyes and slightly wavy hair. She looked like she was really uncomfortable.
Later that day the three originals sat at the bar and drank. When Caroline entered Kol said pointing at her: "I remember her from last night. She looks like a tasty little thing." Klaus replied clearly not liking his brother's comment: "Say another word and I'll tear out your liver. Caroline!" He called for the blonde who was seemingly not happy to see him. "Oh, it's you", she said. "Join us for a drink?", offered Klaus. "Mmm, I'd rather die of thirst. But thanks", replied Caroline, turned around and left.
"Isn't she stunning?", asked Klaus his family. "She certainly looks good walking away from you", commented Kol. "I'll take that as a challenge", said Klaus putting his drink on the counter. "You know that in most cases, no just means no?", asked Lifa with a raised eyebrow. Klaus ignored his daughter only reacting through rolling her eyes and walked after Caroline.
Then Lifa noticed an obliviously drunk woman in her early thirties walking into the bathroom. "Would you excuse me? I need a drink", Lifa said to Kol clearly hinting on drinking the woman's blood. He nodded shortly and said: "Have fun."
She followed the women into the bathroom and locked the door after checking that only the two of them were in the room. The women looked at her confused. Lifa didn't like to manipulate people or drinking from them but she had a plan and this plan wasn't to drink this women's blood.
Lifa stepped closer to the women and locked straight into her eyes. "What's your name, love?" "Candice", answered the women with a monotone voice. "Candice... Would anybody care if you would take a few days off for a trip to New Orleans?", asked Lifa the red-haired women with green eyes. "No, I'm actually just visiting family here and I could drive to New Orleans before going back home", Kara answered still looking emotionless directly into the brunette's eyes. "Great, great...", mumbled Lifa. "You will take the message I will give you to New Orleans and you won't rest till Marcel Gerard had read it." Kara nodded and Lifa handed over the note she wrote early in the morning after reading the last time over it.
After Lifa had manipulated Kara Lifa walked back into the bar and felt something she didn't know before. She felt some unknown pain in her chest. She then heard her father and Damon talking in the back of the Grill. So she chose to speed there.
When she arrived their Damon said: "You didn't know I was friends with your mummy? Yeah, we have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do." Klaus got angry and was about to attack Damon when Elijah appeared next to Lifa who Klaus hadn't noticed jet at the top of the stairs. "Leave him! We still need them, Niklaus.", spoke Elijah up causing Klaus to turn around and noticed his brother and daughter. "What did she do? What did she do, Elijah?", he asked towards his brother.
Elijah walked down the stairs dramatically and toward Damon holding out a phone. "You tell me where the witches are or ill have my sister kill Elena right now." Damon looked at the clock. "You told me we had until after nine", replied Damon while Lifa watched their conversation confused not even knowing what they were talking about. "I'm sure Rebekah will be more than happy to start her work early", said Elijah.

Elijah, Klaus, Kol, and Lifa walked up to the hill on which next to the old witch house Finn stood in a pentagram. He said: "Stay beside me, mother." His mother then joined him in the circle of salt and torches. "It's okay, they can't enter, ", calmed she down one of her sons. Kol walked towards the pentagram and approached it but he was driven back at as the torches around it flared up bright.
"That's lovely. We're stuck out here, while the favorite son plays sacrificial lamb", commented Kol towards his two brothers and his niece adding to his left brother: "How pathetic you are, Finn." "Be quiet, Kol. Your brother knows virtue you cannot even imagine", Esther shut down her son. "Whatever you think of us, killing your own flesh and blood will be an atrocity", said Elijah walking towards the pentagram, his brother and mother. "My only regret is that I did not let you die a thousand years ago", replied Esther.
"Enough. All this talk is boring me. End this now, Mother, or I'll send you back to hell", Klaus threatened his mother but she didn't really to be affected by it. "For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you. Felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood. Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility, you're no better. And you, Lifa, you poor innocent girl who had to suffer so much through this family...", Lifa just looked at her grandmother without seemingly reacting at the mentioning of her name. "All of you. You're a course on this earth. Stretched out over generations. If you've come to plead for your life, I'm sorry, you've wasted your time." Esther coldly finished closing her eyes and Lifa could practically feel the magic that started to lay in the air but not in a good way.
After a few seconds of electric tension, Esther suddenly interrupted it through screaming hysterically: "No! Sisters! Do not abandon me!" "Mother!", replied Finn afraid. The torches around the pentagram flared up. Finn grabbed Esther and the left Mikaelsons cowered from the flames. After a few moments, the torches died out. When Elijah, Klaus, Kol, and Lifa stood up again and looked around in shock, they saw that Finn and Esther were gone.
The four left Mikaelsons stayed silent for a few more minutes exchanging looks till Kol speeded away.
Lifa looked at her uncle Elijah awaiting knowing he was the next person to do something. Elijah straightened his jacket, sighed and said looking at nobody particularly: "Well, I think we're done here..." After finishing his sentence and a last look at his beloved family members he used his vampire speed to run away leaving Klaus and Lifa alone.
Klaus looked at his daughter with a look that most people wouldn't really have recognized but Lifa saw something in his eyes. She saw fears to lose her, to be alone and to be left again.
Lifa looked at him opening her mouth about to say something but remaining silent for another few seconds. Until she said: "Are you hungry? Because I'm really hungry."
