Giovanni's pov
As we were watching the 5th episode of Spongebob that came on today, I look down at my phone when I feel a vibration. Reading the screen, I notice Blake is calling me. Answering it, I take a peek at Matteo and see that he's still focused on the tv, not even bothered with anything else.
"Parlare." I say to him as I put the phone to my ear. Looking at the tv, I hope that he isn't gonna say anything bad.
Translation: talk
"Devi andare in ufficio adesso." Getting up from the couch, I walk to the kitchen. Not wanting Matteo to hear our conversation.
Translation: you need to get to the office now
"Quello che è successo?" I feel anxious at whatever he's about to say. If it's not good, I swear I will lose my mind.
Translation: what happened
"Mr. Brody sta facendo marcia indietro." Anger starts rising in me and I have to calm myself. I don't want Matteo to get scared of me all of a sudden just because I showed him my bad side.
Translation: Mr. Brody is backing out of the deal
"Why?" Peeking through the doorway, I see Matteo flipping through channels. Spongebob must've went off.
"I don't know. But you need to get here ASAP." Sighing, I tell him alright and hang up. Walking back to the living room, I sit next to Matteo and he looks me with a worried look.
"Is everything alright?" I just shake my head and lean back on the head of the couch. Closing my eyes, I hear him moving around a little. The next thing I know, I feel a warm hand on mines.
Opening my eyes, I look at Matteo with a slight smile, and he smiles back.
"What happened?" Sitting up, I look him straight in the eyes.
"This one guy that I have business with, backed out of a deal that I offered. We both would have profited from the deal." Matteo looks like he's in space.
"Where do you work?"
"Manuel Enterprise. It's my company." His eyes go wide and I chuckle. I just noticed that a little dimple is on the right side of his face. Even though it's small, I noticed it.
"So your the ceo?" I nod my head and he runs a hand through his hair.
"I have to go into the company today. Do you want to come with me or do you want to stay here?" I feel him tense and I rub my finger on his hand.
Matteo relaxes a little and I feel myself relax too.
"Can I come with you? I don't want to be alone." Matteo whispers the last part but I hear him.
"Of course you can. I gotta go take a shower and then get ready. You can go take a shower and I'll give you some of my clothes." I say and his face lights up.
"Come on. I'll show you where the other shower is." Getting up, I walk upstairs and hear Matteo following behind me.
