Matteo's pov

I feel someone shaking me, wanting me to get up. But I don't want to. I'm so comfortable.

"Matteo come on." My eyes slowly open and I'm facing a couch. Turning around, I see Gio looking down at me.

"How long have I been sleep?" Groaning, I sit up and wipe my eyes with my fingers.

"Just an hour, but it's time to go." I stand up and walk with him as he heads towards the door. Leaving out, I can't help but to think about that Brody guy.

"What happened with Mr. Brody?" I ask in curiosity. Gio presses the down button next to the elevator and we wait patiently.

"He told me why he was backing out of the deal and I understood the reason." I nod and the elevator door opens.

Men and women dressed in suits, walk out but not before looking at us, well.... me. I make eye contact with a tall man. Taller than me. He has dark black hair, grey eyes, and his facial hair isn't too short and has some grey streaks. Total daddy material.

"Come on Matteo." Gio grabs my elbow gently and pulls me into the elevator, breaking my gaze of the older man. As soon as I turn around, I look up but the older man is gone. Nowhere in sight.

"Are you hungry?" Looking at Gio, I notice he's already looking at me, waiting for my answer.

"Yeah." And on cue, my stomach grumbles. Gio laughs and I turn away in embarrassment.

"I know this restaurant. It's probably about an hour away from my house, but the food is amazing." The elevator is on the 20th floor, and we stand in silence.

I look down at the shoes Gio gave me. The clothes and shoes are his.

"Gio, thank you for letting me borrow you're things. I don't know how I can thank you for everything you've done." Before I know it, he brings me into a hug.

He's taller than me, so my head comes under his chin. His arms wrap around my waist and I wrap my arms around his waist.

"It's fine Matteo. You don't owe me anything. I want to help you." I inhale his scent. Axe.

The elevator dings and we let go of each other slowly. Our eyes meet each other's and I know he's checking me out. Looking at my face, he's noticing all my flaws and perfections.

We let go of each other completely and the doors open.

Walking out together, shoulder by shoulder, side by side, makes me wonder if Gio is the guy for me. If he actually see's something in me.
