(THIS IS THE FINALE :((((( however could there be a book 3)

I was glad that Natsu forgave me and that we were finally able to live in peace. I had never felt so free, nothing was holding me down and I knew Natsu felt the same.

"This is perfect" I exclaimed grabbing my glass of wine and tapping it to his.

"To freedom" He raised his glass and I followed. He was right, all this time we spent trapped by multiple things. Of course Natsu was restrained because he was a wanted criminal and I was trapped in a world without him. In that moment we took in the fresh air and the scent of the water.

Fairytail Peer, it was our place. Running away from the cops is what led us there and I didn't regret anything. The wind was hot but comforting, the ground was soft because of the rug I had placed but I could still feel the crevasses of the wooden peer. The sun was blazing but the clouds shielded us from the intense heat.

"Well why aren't we in the water" Natsu spoke taking off his shirt.

"Did you even bring board shorts" I laughed.

"Doesn't matter" In the blink of an eye his arms lifted me and my body bounced as he ran towards the edge.

"Put me down" I uncontrollably laughed before the cold water came into contact with me. The water drenched my dress until it stuck to me. It was an icky feeling but in the moment that didn't really matter to me. The sun shone brightly bringing a small amount of warmth to my face. I looked up squinting my eyes trying to take in the heat.

"Gosh your beautiful" I snapped my head back downwards to face the pinkette. His black orbs gazing into mine. Heat rushed to my cheeks, no matter how long I had been with him I still got embarrassed by his sudden compliments.

"Your not to bad yourself" I flirted back earning a giggle from him. It was rewarding to see him smile, it had been a while since I'd seen his signature grin. What made it better was that I was the reason behind it.

"Not to bad, please you can't deny I'm sexy" He ran his fingers through his wet hair with a smirk.

"Shut up" His guard was down so I took the opportunity to dunk him into the water. His face was priceless when he came back up and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Your gonna pay for that Luce" He deviously spoke and I knew already that I had to swim away.

Time went so fast with him, dunking each other and being stupid in the water. It was so nice to feel happy and free with the man I loved.

It was unexplainable how I felt about the pinkette. He kidnapped me, and although he didn't realize it, he was really saving me from the boredom of my own life. He gave me an adventure and a purpose, he introduced me to the people who will forever be my friends. His overprotective, his got a temper but I love that about him. No one has ever made me feel so needed and so special. I know it sounds cheesy but I knew he was my soulmate.

Climbing up the peer ladder I felt my clothes get heavy dragging me down. I guess that was the punishment for swimming in my clothes.

"Luce, today has made me realize something important" I turned to the pinkette, his hand rubbed his back awkwardly and his body tensed up.

"What is it" nervousness filled my body and my mind raced through possibilities of what he would say. However my thoughts were interrupted by distant sirens getting closer and closer. I had learned to tense up at the sounds of police sirens, but I realized Natsu was innocent and therefore I didn't have to worry ever again.

"Will you marry me" I turned to the boy once again, he was down on one knee. My eyes widened and shock took over.

"I don't have a ring yet, cause I didn't think I would be doing this but here I am" His face was colored red and his body shook ever so slightly with nerves.

"Of course I'll marry you" My heart was filled with joy, I finally found the person who I would spend the rest of my life with. I was excited, Natsu and I married. It was a new concept but it was a beautiful one. He brought me happiness and I knew then that we would make a home together, possibly even a family.

Wrapping my arms around the boy we indulged in a passionate kiss. It would be our last for a while however.

The sirens grew close until the unwanted police car parked right next to us.

Hoping out of the police car an officer made his way over to us, I panicked not wanting Natsu to be taken again. He was proven innocent and there was no need to arrest him anymore. Natsu held his head in shame ready to go back, he had given up hope. He was wrong however.

"Lucy Heartfillia, you are under arrest for the murder of Hilda Dragneel"

The sequel to this book and the final book to the 'On the Run' series is in the works. Thankyou so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this book :)
