Jamal yelled as Spooky told us that all of this was a plan. It was all a stupid plan. We sat around the table, eating. I didn't even looked at Spooky.
"You gave our Rollerworld money to the prophets!"
"No. I gave them the marked bills from Freeridge savings robbery."
"Oh! Thank god!" Jamal sighs. "For a second I thought you gave our money away." They laughed.
"No, no i didnt give your money away. You gave your money away. And now its mine." Spooky tells him. Never make a deal with him. Ever!
"Valeria! Turn me to Jamal." Monse yells at me through the phone call we had going. I passed my phone to Jamal. "Am I hearing this correctly? You used all of out money for nothing? Even my 50k?"
"It wasn't for nothing. It was for Cesar. And yes, even your 50k."
"Turn me to Spooky." Jamal turns the phone to Spooky, passing to Cesar, making him smile. "More. I still can see him." Cesarthen frowns. "Spooky, i dont sign on my 50 grand of that gift to you. Can you be decent and give it back?"
"No." He answered.
"This is bullshit!" She yells.
"Look on the bright side. Cesars alive."
"Hurray! Turn me to him." Cesar shakes his head. The phone was now on Cesar. He sighs. "You might be alive, but youre dead to me."
"Monse." He said softly. "I am so.." the call ended. "Dead." I grabbed my phone back.
"Spooky." I said as I sat up from my chair. "Do you think giving the prophets a bunch of marked bills was even a good idea? I mean once one of their guys gets arrested, then they'll know it was you. And by I dont know, us?"
"They would never connect it to you." He looks at me.
"I still don't understand why you needed to cheat us." Jamal went on.
"I didnt. I did exactly what you wanted. I saved Cesar."
"Okay. But you knew you were gonna do that before you took out cash."
