I called out as I left the house. There is gonna be an important meeting, Ruby sent out an email, which I briefly looked through. Its summer, i dont wanna read. I made to Jasmines place, the crew was already there, but no Jamal.
"The 'Its all Relative' results came in this morning, and we filtered 3,000 names by age, gender and birthplace." Ruby said as he was handed folders by Jasmine.
"Which left us with only the people that share Lil Rickys birthday and whose names contain 'Ricardo' or 'Galindo'. That brought is down to 4 candidates."
"Now, Jasmine and I knocked one guy off the list, and we found him on Facebook, which means hes not hiding. The three others dont have social media."
"Uh, wasnt Chivos saliva supposed to tell us exactly who Lil Ricky was?" Monse asked them.
"You didnt read the notes I emailed!" Ruby sighed. Oops, he's gonna get big mad at me.
"Uh... what notes?" Cesar said. At this point, im not gonna say if I did or I didn't. Jasmine and Ruby looked at each other with disbelief.
"Theres no time to not be paying attention at all times!" Ruby yells. "The golden state killer was caught because a relative unwillingly submitted their DNA to a database, and the police matched that DNA to a GSK crimes scene. Now, we had Chivos DNA, but no crime scene to tie it to."
"If you read the notes, youd also know that George Lopez is related to Chivo!" Me and Jasmine squealed. That part i did read. "I wanted to follow up on it..." Ruby gave me and Jasmine a look and I slowly sat down. "But because of my dedication to this investigation, ive postponed interrogating Mr. Lopez until a later date!"
"I wanna help with that when you get to that date." I said. Ruby shook his head. Amor! Its THE George Lopez! Monse hums and raises her hand.
"What?"
"How do we know Lil Rickys one of the three remaining names?"
"Because he loved puzzles, and theres no greater puzzle than yourself." Ruby told her. Cesar groans and raises his hand. "No more questions!" Cesar snaps and I sat back. "You all got assignments." Jasmine passes the folder to Cesar, who is mostly gonna work with Monse.
"Wheres-"
"Jamal?" Jamal said as he walked in the room, late. "Hes been having sex." I rolled my eyes.
"This is our assignment." Jasmine gives him the folder. That puts me with Ruby. Im perfectly fine with that. Jamal looks at us, happy. Which was creeping me out.
