Nialls POV
I smiled and held Liam closer, his breathing was calm as he lay next to me. Since I've been back everything has been amazing.
I never realized just how much I really missed everyone until I held them all again.
And my babies, they're already so grown up! It breaks my heart to see them call Liam their daddy and then act like they hardly know me.
I know I wasn't here from the start, but I vow to be there every second of every day. A small smile lay on Liam's face as he stirred a little.
Brown eyes glistened in the dim light as I smiled.
"Hey" He whispered, his deep voice sounding musical to my ears.
"Hey babe." I whispered back. A sleepy smile spread across his face, I shifted my self so I was leaning against the head board.
"Can't sleep, again?" He asked softly. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes.
"I just feel so guilty." I said, my voice was weak as I tried to get the words out, but Liam took my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"You have nothing to feel guilty about, they both adore you. And your here now. That's all that matters." I opened my eyes to find his brown eyes looking up at me. Making me smile.
"Did you hear, Louis is having the baby on weekends." Liam added, his eyes wide now, as he rushed to sit up, the blanket falling off his chest, revealing his perfect body. "No." I gasped.
I always loved mine and Liam's late night convocations, they were filled with gossip, and sometimes we would just lay and pour our hearts out, but it didn't matter. Because it would never effect us, we'd always get through everything and anything.
We are sort of like a power couple. Like, just before I was leaving, he was certain he wanted to leave me. But we held on, and now. We're as happy as ever.
"Yeah, and Harry said that he totally broke down in the supermarket. And that Lou's got a girlfriend." Liam added, my eyes widened and I shook my head in disbelief
"As in, a girl? Like, a female. Like. Not a guy??" I said frantically. That was a huge shock, Louis was the first to come out, he was always so sure that he was- well into guys.
"Yep" He said softly.
"How's he holding up?" I asked, my eyes wandering around the room, not looking for anything, and as a result, not finding anything either.
"Haz, not good at all. He cried so much, and he's up ridiculously early just doing nothing."
"I feel so bad for him." I mumbled. I had noticed how off he seemed but this was nothing like I would have guessed.
"So do I. But, babe, it's late, can we just sleep now?" Liam pleaded, his big brown eyes starring up at me, I let out a sigh and smiled. "Of course babe."
As Liam's breathing fell steady, I lay awake thinking of what I can do for my best friend. He was there for me when Liam was gone so now I need to be there for him.
