Chapter3

Monday morning.

I woke up at 7:45 to have enough time to get to my 9:00 class. I live in Atlanta and currently go to AGU. I decided to war something simple but cute. Some ripped jeans with a white shirt and olive green tennis shoes. I brushed my teeth and washed because i took a shower the night before and headed downstairs to get something for breakfast. Usually when my brother is home i take him to school but since he wasnt i grabbed a bottle water, chips, and a made me a quick sandwich. I was on my way out the door.

After class walking to my car i put my bags in the back seat and got in. The car didn't start.
" ughhh not now" i said frustrated
" what the fuckk man"
" Aye you need a ride somewhere" Josh asked.
Ugh Josh he always tried to flirt or whatever but he is not my type and he is hella cocky. But i needed to get home and get in my bed asap.
" yes please" i said.
Once i got in the car he pulled out and started driving.
" i hope you dont mind but i need to make a stop before i drop you off" he said.
" well i kinda do mind because I really wanna go home.. Like now" i said trying to be as polite as i could with him.
He didnt say anything after i said that and i thought we were on the page until we pulled up to a big, pretty, modern styled house.
I turned my head and looked at him
" just stay right here. Ill be back in 5 minutes." He said.
I stayed quiet and layed my head back on the seat. After a while 30 minutes passed by and i was beyond ready to go. I went up to the house and knocked on the door.
" Hola" a women opened the door
" um hi im looking for Josh "
" ohh come in and follow me." she said walking up the stairs and stopping at a door at the end of the hall.
She knocked twice and stepped back and waited for a reply.
" Yes Maria" the person on the other side of the door said.
" Mr. Legend we have a bonita lady looking for Mr.Josh" she said. Who i now knew to be Maria
Wait .... Mr.Legend ..... This cant be. This has to be a set up.
" COME" he said
She opened the door to let me go in and i saw the room was set up as an office. The first person i saw was the famous Mr. Legend sitting on the edge of his desk with a gun in his hand. I slowly started to back up towards the door while looking at Josh who had his hand covering his mouth.
" Sit" Mr. Legend said strongly
I slowly walked to the chair next to Josh which happened to be right in front of Legend.
" so i dont believe i ever got your name" he said looking me dead in my eyes
" im Shauni.." i said trying to figure out how i could get out of this.
" What are you doing with him " he said. It sounded like he was kinda offended.
" He was just supposed to be taking me home but he decided to make a stop before.. I promise i didnt know where we were going he just showed up here and i asked him to take me home and he d--" i tried to justify my reason for being here.
" Shut up" he said rudely.
" Wait oh hell naw.. I dont know what's going on here but dont talk to me lie that" i said forgetting about the situation at home.
" Aye Josh... Get the fuck outta my house and dont fucking come back until you got the rest of my shit" he said making sure he got his point across with his gun.
After he said that i was getting ready to stand up to go with Josh.
" Shauni sit down"
I turned around and looked to see if he was serious and sure enough he was. I went to sit back down and he pulled me to him and kept his hands around my waist.
" im sorry you had to see that" he said
" ok " i said hella uncomfortable from what i just seen and him being fine as fuck.
" you want to go get something to eat... I know you just got out of class" he said not seeming to care about what i just witnessed.
" yes im hungry" i said really wanting food and for him to let me go.
I backed up from him to let him stand up from his desk and he grabbed my hand leading me to his garage and imto his 2018 black range rover next to his many cars. 

We ended up eating at a burger spot.  After we ordered our food we decided to sit outside.
" so whats your first name" i started the conversation off
" My name is Maliq Legend but i go by Legend"

From then on until we got our food we talked and had good conversations. Even though i had an idea i still asked him.
" Maliq what do you do"
" I run a business... Im a business man"
I laughed knowing what that meant
" so you dont deal the drugs you just manage everything?"
He didnt answer me with words he just gave me a look of reassurance.

He drove me home and walked me to my door.
" let me see your phone" he asked but not really in a question way.
I gave it to him and he put his number in.
While handing me my phone back he told me to be ready Friday night at 8 we wanted to take me out on a proper first date.
" ill see what i can do" i said as i turned around to walk in the door. I heard him laugh right before i said goodnight and close the door.
