Joes POV
A few minutes after Dianne had to go my mum called me downstairs
"Coming mum"
I got downstairs and went into the lounge where my mum, dad and Zoe were sat.
"How was school?" My dad asked
"Good" I replied quickly blushing slightly thinking about Dianne
"Joe what's wrong?" My mum asked
"Nothing mum"
"There is Joe, do you feel okay?"
"I'm fine mum"
"Joe I can read you like a book, there's something you need to tell us" Zoe stated
"Oh right well okay but you must promise you won't tell anyone guys" I warned
"We promised" they all replied
"Well you know dianne?"
"Yea" my dad said
"Awh the really gorgeous sweet little one with red hair" Mum smiled
Zoe smiled although remained silent.
"Yes that Dianne, well I kinda told her I like her turns out the feelings mutual and she's now ma girlfriend" I said smiling from ear to ear
"Awwh I'm thrilled for you Josebo, she's a very nice girl" my mum said sweetly
"Thanks mum" I replied
"So Joseph's finally got himself a girlfriend" Zoe laughed
"Go On son, treat her well" my dad told me clapping me on the back.
"Thanks dad"
"But please don't mention it to CaspAr or Ambar or anyone, we're not telling them until the dance because they will force us into things and we just want to go slowly" I said hoping they would understand
"Totally" Dad said
"I get it Joey" Zoe smiled hugging me
"I promise" my mum said
"Thanks guys I love you" I said before my phone started ringing loudly
"Baby Girl" my phone spoke.
I felt my face go the color of Dianne's hair, my family tried to keep in their smirks and giggles. I accepted her call and ran upstairs to my room. Her beautiful little face appeared on my screen and her soothing Australian accent spoke excitedly
"Hey Joey!" She said waving at the screen
"Hey Gorgeous" I smiled
"How are ya" She asked
"I'm great thanks you?"
"Brill"
"Have you told anyone about us?" I asked
"Just my mum, Andy and Brenny but they know not to tell, you?" She replied
"Okay, my parents and Zoe know but again they know not to tell Casp and Amby"
"Okay good"
"How do we act tomorrow because I know I'm gonna want to cuddle you" Dianne said worriedly
"Don't worry I'll hold your hand under tables and at break and lunch just stay close to me, you can stay later than the other two tomorrow if you like" I suggested
"I'd love that, thank you" she replied
"Lucky me" I smiled
"You mean lucky ME" she emphasized the word me
"Hmm" I laughed
We could have talked for hours but my mum popped her head round my bedroom door
"Joe it's 11 o'clock you should both be in bed!" She said
"Oh hey Dianne!" She said waving at my phone
"Hey Mrs Sugg" dianne smiled
"Please sweetheart call me Tracey" my mum told her
"Okay, Tracey it is!"
"Haha sorry to break this up but Joe you really should be in bed, I'll leave you two to day goodnight but Joseph Graham Sugg I want you in bed by 11:30" she warned
"Yes mum" I called as she left the room before turning back to Dianne
"Well I guess you've got to go" she smiled weakly
"I do gorgeous but I will meet you outside yours at 8:20 and I'll walk with you to school"
"Thanks, can't wait!"
"See you tomorrow then gorgeous" I smiled
"You will!" She smiled back.
We blew each other a kiss before I ended the call, put my pajamas on and went to bed.

Skip to next day

Dianne's POV
Ugh
"Bleep bleeeeep bleeeeeeeeppppp YES I HEAR YOU, STUPID ALARM" I shouted angrily slamming my hand onto the alarm clock on my bedside table causing it to fall to the floor. I heaved myself upright and rubbed my eyes before going into the bathroom, I emerged about 40 minutes later fully dressed head to toe in uniform, makeup done I headed downstairs and sat down at the table to find my cereal had already been set out with the milk to the side of the bowl with a note, I poured my milk on my cereal and started eating before picking up the note and reading it.
Morning Di,
Your father and I had to take Brenny to the hospital early this morning because he fell down the stairs in his sleep, Andy woke up but you didn't, call him if you need anything he is only down the road at Zach's xx
Love you lots Mom and Dad xx
P.s don't worry about Bren he's okay we think he'd just broken his wrist x

I set the note back on the table and shrugged. I could invite Joe to come now if he wanted so we could have a cuddle before school. I haven't actually properly cuddled him yet and I'm definitely not ready to kiss him. I pick up my phone and text him
Dianne: hey Joe wanna come now, I'll explain when you get here x
Joe: sure x
Dianne: okay see you in a sec x
Joe: will do x

A few minutes later as I finished my breakfast and set my dishes in the sink the doorbell rang
"COME IN" I shouted and then I heard the door click shut
"Hey Di!" Called joe
"I'm in the kitchen" I replied.
He walked in and I threw myself at him into a hug.
"Good morning to you too" he laughed
I explained to him what had happened while he held me close to him and then we found ourselves stopping at Costa on the way to school but we have plenty of time so if we've got everything let's go.
