monotone

23 1 1

i have no more greys to offer

everything's in black and white

there's right and wrong,

no in-between.

white lies are lies.

telling myself i don't like you

might as well be not liking you

and now, i think that's true

the rain has ceased

the sun stopped shining

the rainbow has disappeared

my vision now an old TV

the splash of colour has faded away

i'm left with a world of monotone

and i couldn't be happier

to leave the colours behind.

aaaand it's the end!!

now, u may be asking me "why end this book? i want more!" but you see, its the end of a phase in my life, and if i were to keep musing about him, i would never move on.

it's not the end of my writing journey!! i have more in store, and not just poetry, but i'm taking it slow.

i want to end this book as a symbol of me letting go and moving on and... ending things. if i were to catch feelings again... well... if it's soon, i wouldn't write about it. if it's 5 years down the road, we'll see. but i honestly doubt so.

thanks y'all for being so supportive throughout my journey! special shout out to @slenmr for being such a huuuge support and a really great friend! i love her poetry so much so PLEASE PLEASE give her a follow! and to @GatsbyDave, even though i haven't really gotten a chance to talk to you much, just wanna say your poems were a huge inspiration to me when i was stuck in writers block. we have similar concepts so drop him a follow if you enjoyed reading my stuff! :3

that's all! much love to you guys and have a great day/night wherever you may be!

signing off,

esther xoxo
