"You're late" Jack says when I pick him up

"Sorry there was traffic"

"It's 2 p.m I bet"

"Whatever don't believe me" I roll my eyes and he laughs

"Now is that nice"

"Did you forget"

"Oh."

"Yup And to make up for being late you're taking me out to lunch and paying"

"Fine. But didn't you have lunch at school"

"No. Um someone kinda stole it from me"

"What do you mean?"

"Nevermind I just didn't eat okay come on let's go I'm getting hungry"

"Wait... do people bully you?"

"What no. If anything I'm the bully now let's go"

"Okay okay"

We get in my car and drive to some random restaurant

I wonder if he gets bullied

We get to the restaurant and walk in

I notice that there's a group of about 6 boys and girls our age at one table.

I look over at Jack and he gulps and looks down at the ground

"You okay" i ask nudging his arm

"Wha- oh yeah just great let's uh get a table"

"Okay lead the way"

We walk past the group and they laugh. Confused at what they're laughing at I continue to follow Jack to the back of the restaurant

"Dang why so far away"

We order our food and suddenly the group is walking over to us

"Do you know them?" I whisper as they walk

He just nods and they reach the table

"Hey Jacky" one guy says

"H-hi Hayden"

"So I see you finally got a girlfriend"

"HA! I am so not his girlfriend." I say laughing

"Then who are you"

"My names Kallie and I'm his almost step sister"

"Makes sense Jacky boy could never get a girl as hot as you"

Okay I see how this is going to go

"Wrong! He's actually dating my friend and she's uh well she's very pretty so I mean 2 plus 2 equals 4"

"Anyways Jack i just wanted to let you know that the whole school hates you"

"I'm not done. I still have many more ways of saying bye"

"Wha- oh" I look up and they're out of the restaurant

"Yeah and you just embarrassed me thanks" he rolls his eyes and stands up walking away

"Where are you going"

"To the car. Pay so we can leave please"
