We get to Jonah's house and right when I get up to leave the car he picks me up and carries me

"What are you doing?" I ask

"Taking care of my princess."

I smile and close my eyes as he takes my suitcase and brings us in his house

"My family's on a camping trip for the week so it's just me and you okay"

I nod and he carries me to his room

He places me in his bed and puts the covers over me

"Do you want me to unpack your stuff?" He asks

"I don't care... b-but can I wear one of your hoodies please"

"I'm two steps ahead of you" he turns around holding my favorite hoodie of his and puts it on me

"Now take a nap and I'll put your stuff away and join you soon okay"

"Okay. Thank you for what you're doing"

"Of course anything for my favorite girl" he kisses my forehead and walks away putting my stuff away

I wake up from my nap and  see my head is on top of Jonah's chest

I smile seeing his cute face as he sleeps and kiss him lightly on the cheek

He wakes up and looks at me with a sleepy smile

"How'd you sleep" he whispers

"Good. I love your bed. You know sleeping here just me and you made me totally forget about all my problems right now"

"Well that's what good boyfriends do. Now do you feel like talking about everything?"

"I think I am"

"Okay well tell me everything"

I tell him my whole conversation with my dad and hugs me tight

"I'm so so sorry baby. No one deserves that. But at least you have a good relationship with him now right?"

"Yeah i guess. It just hurts knowing your dad can just forget about you for 5 years and then when he finally remembers and shows up again he lies to you about everything"

"Yeah I understand. But that was the past now you should focus on the future and present. The past is over. While he did forget about you for that time and wasn't much of a dad,  now he is. So just be happy about that okay"

I nod and smile

"Thank you for the advice it really helps... do you think I could still stay here for a bit I just need some time away"

"You can stay however long you want. So what made that conversation even come up anyways"

"Well I was talking about why I have to be forced to be nice to Jack and I kind of let it slip about the blackmail. And I was saying how I didn't tell him about us having sex because I thought he would kick me out cause I remembered how he and my mom when they would talk to me together they would always say to wait till we get married. And long story short I talked about missing my mom and everything else happened."

"Oh... well at least he knows we did it"

"Yeah and if he gets mad I can always just use what I learned against me"

He laughs and kisses the top of my forehead

"You're so funny"

"Why?"

"You just are. You turned this bad, sad thing into something you can use."

"Well you know what they say... when life gives you lemons"

"Make lemonade?"

"I was thinking more squeeze them in peoples eyes but yeah that too"

He laughs again and I laugh with him

"There's that beautiful laugh." He whispers to himself but I still hear him

"Hey Jonah"

"Yes Kal"

"I love you"

"Hey Kallie"

"Yes Jo"

"I love you more"
