It's half term and Thomas sits in his room trying to figure out how on earth he got into top set science, when his phone tinged with a FaceTime, it was from Newt "Hey dude... you alright?" Thomas looked at his friend concerned, Newt's eyes were red like he had cried and his breathing was fast "Tommy, can I stay at yours tonight? I'll explain later" Thomas nodded "Yeah let me just ask my mum" he ran down the stairs "Mum can my friend Newt come stay for the night?" She smiled "Yes if course, if he doesn't mind Tegan annoying him" Thomas smirked "Thanks but like he's kinda upset soooooo..." he crouched in front of his little sister "Tegan darlin when my friend comes over will you let me cheer him up before we play with you?" The little girl looked up at him with big gray eyes "As long as Noot plays princess with me" Thomas chuckled and kissed her forehead before running back up the stairs "They day it's fine" Newt sighed with relief "Thanks mate your a life saver, I'll be round in ten" and the boy hung up. Thomas looked around his room and realised he needed to clean it, he ran down the stairs as soon as the doorbell rang, he fell into the banister and opened the door. He escorted a crying Newt up to his room and held his arms around the other boy , "I.. I'm sorry" Newt stuttered out Thomas held him tight "Hey hey it's ok, do you wanna tell me what happened?" Newt took a deep breath and wiped his tears away with a shaking hand "My parents make my life shit, everything I do they pick up on and just it's like I can't do anything" Thomas shook his head and ran his hands through Newts hair "You don't have to be perfect Newt to me and your friends think you are perfect in every way" Newt looked into Thomas's eyes and smiled, holding eye contact for to long. "BOYS DINNERS READY" Thomas's mum yelled up the stairs "You ready?" Thomas asked handing Newt a face wipe, Newt smiled "Yeah thanks" Thomas smiled back and they walked down the stairs. Newt walked up to Thomas's mum and held out his hand "My names Newt Brodie-Sangster thank you for letting me stay Mrs O'brien" Thomas's mum smiled and shook Newt's hand "Please call me Emily" Newt smiled and shook Thomas's dad's hand "I apologise for barging in like this" Newt said "Oh it's fine, call me William". Tegan ran in and Newt crouched in front of her "And you must be Tegan, I've heard a lot about you" Tegan grinned "You are Noot! Tommy talks about you allllll the time" Newt chuckled and Thomas turned bright red "Newt I hope you like pizza" Newt smirked "Who doesn't?" He asked taking a place at the dinner table.
~After dinner~
Tegan bounced around, hyper from all the pizza "Nooooooooot Tommy promised me that you two will play princess with me" Newt chuckled "Get the dresses" Thomas raised an eyebrow "You don't have to" she said as Tegan ran up the stairs to get the princess dresses "Oh I know but I will kill it in a princess dress" Thomas laughed and Tegan brought down two bright pink sparkly princess dresses. Newt happily took his and put it on over his cloths "Oh honey I look fantastic" he flipped the air and smacked himself in the face, Thomas reluctantly stepped into his dress and the tips of his ears were bright red from embarrassment Newt smirked and fanned himself "Oh princess Thomas you look devine" Tegan burst out laughing and twirled in her golden dress, Emily walked into the room and chuckled "mummy take a picture of us!!" Tegan exclaimed jumping up and down. Tegan climbed into Thomas's arms and Newt leaned against Thomas's back and did an over dramatic fainting princess pose, Thomas just smiled awkwardly his face bright red and Emily took the picture "Now that's going in the scrapbook" Tegan laughed "Time for bed little one" Tegan pouted "I wanna stay up with the boyyyyyyys" She wines clearly tired, "Hey Tegan, would you mind if I read you a story?" Newt asked crouching in his pink sparkly dress, Tegan smiled "Yes!!" And ran up the stairs to get dressed.
~Later That night because I'm lazy~
With Tegan fast asleep the boys lay in bed and told stories about their friends and weird things that had happened to them, eventually at about 5 they shut up and slept, back to back as Thomas didn't want to push Newt into anything.
