I was glad when my last class of the day was over because I was tired and annoyed that none of my students was listening to me properly. Not even Taehyung could sort them out so I just put it down to them eating too much sweet things at lunch.
I looked at the pile of work to be marked on my desk and groaned. It would have been marked but of course, I was arguing with Jin all weekend and I couldn't concentrate when he was breathing down my neck every minute of my day. Even when I was messaging my sister and Shownu, he as reading my messages.
In the end, I locked myself in the spare bedroom but he kept banging on the door asking if I wanted anything to eat or if I was messaging Taehyung. Jin suddenly seemed different to how he first was when we started to date. I liked him to begin with, almost falling in love, but with the way he was treating me, I knew I wasn't going to fall anymore.
There was a knock on the door and Taehyung came in holding two drinks. He sent me a small smile and put the tea on my desk.
"Thank you," I said as he sat in front of me.
"I thought you needed it. You're stressed," He said and he looked at the work "Didn't you do this over the weekend?"
"Obviously not," I said "I was...busy"
Taehyung scoffed "I don't want to know about your sex life"
"I definitely wasn't having sex. I can assure you" I muttered and sipped my tea. I put my mug down and saw Taehyung staring at me "What? Is there something on my face?"
"How did you get those bruises?"
I looked at my wrist and quickly pulled my sleeve down to my jumper "Stopping the fight from this morning"
"You shouldn't have jumped in to stop it. The boys were big," Taehyung said and I sighed "You might be tough but you're still a girl"
"Maybe so, but I wasn't going to have my students beat someone up over a football," I said "Now, since you are here you can help me mark this work"
Taehyung groaned "Why can't you let me go home?"
"Because I need help"
"Can you not do it at home?" Taehyung asked "You will be more comfortable"
"I'm not going home," I said "I'm more comfortable here"
Taehyung just stared at me "I caused problems between you and your boyfriend. Didn't I?"
"No," I lied "Anyway, it's annoying having to carry these on the bus. I'll mark it here and that way I won't forget any at home"
"Hana," Taehyung said, "Your boyfriend gave you those bruises, didn't he?"
My heart dropped to my stomach "Jin didn't. I got these from-"
"You were always a bad liar," Taehyung said "I know that because ever since you became my teacher, I've been watching you"
"Taehyung, I-"
"You used to lie to other teachers about me and my friends getting into fights," He said "You also lied about coming back to the school and how you would never give up on your class"
I sighed "I never gave up on your class. I had a better job offer"
"Maybe so, but you still can't lie to me," Taehyung said and he made he way around my desk "Let me see your wrist"
"There is nothing to see"
Taehyung tutted and knelt down in front of my pulling my wrist away from the desk. He pushed back my sleeve and looked over the bruises. I saw him clench his jaw and he looked up at me.
"Jungkook was always covered in bruises like this and this was from Jin grabbing you hard," He said turning my wrist "It looks like they hurt"
"They don't," I said quietly "I'm fine. This is nothing. I fell and he caught me"
"Stop lying to me, Hana" Taehyung said "I don't like that you are lying to me"
I sighed "Taehyung, honestly, I'm fine. It's just a misunderstanding"
"I don't like that you're hurt," He said bringing my wrist to his lips. My eyes shot open wide as he kissed my inner wrist where the worst bruise was and I felt my cheeks burn "There. All better"
I slowly pulled my wrist away from him, still feeling his lips on my skin and I cleared my throat making him chuckle.
"You might have a boyfriend but that doesn't mean I am going to give up on you," He said getting to his feet "Even though it's been 4 years, I still love you and I still want to make you mine"
My heart jumped around and he picked his mug up and made his way to the door before turning back to me with a soft smile.
"If you come to school with more bruises I am going to beat the shit out of Jin and I don't care if I lose the chance to stay a teacher," He said "A man should never lay his hands on a woman even if it is a 'misunderstanding'. Get home safe Hana"
The door closed and I started to breathe again.
"Shit," I whispered and looked at my wrist. My heart shouldn't have been beating like that and I sighed loudly before resting my head on the table "What is wrong with you, Hana?"
There was a knock on the door and I called out telling them to come in. I didn't bother looking up but the person that came in pushed my chair back. I quickly looked up to yell at whoever did it but I came face to face with Jin. The very person I had been avoiding.
"Hana," He said "You've been avoiding me,"
"Anyone would. Why would I want to see you when you have been a complete asshat?"
Jin didn't smile "I just saw Taehyung leave. I thought I told you to stay away from him when you were on your own?"
"I thought I told you that you can't control me?" I snapped "Go away, Jin. I have work to mark"
Jin stood up straight "Don't forget who runs this school, Hana. Taehyung might not have a job for much longer if you keep going behind my back to be around him"
"You can't-"
"You have a lot of work to mark, baby" Jin smiled "I'll help you carry it to my car. You can mark it at home with me. I'll even order us a takeaway. How does that sound?"
