The sides decided to have a picnic in Imagination. The sun was up, and there were not that much clouds. It was a bright and sunny day, a perfect day as Roman and Patton would described.

Roman's and Virgil's hands were so close to each other. "This is my chance. Just do it, Roman!" He told himself in his head, trying to build confidence to just hold the gloomy side's hand.

Patton and Logan, on the other hand, were feeding each other strawberries and Crofters Jam. They announced that they were together last week. Roman hated to admit that he was envious that Logan had more courage than him to confess but just seeing Virgil made him lost his confidence and end up stuttering and losing his train of thoughts, because all he could think about was Virgil.

His cheeks turned very red from the thought alone of holding hands.  "Come on, Roman, pull yourself together! Just hold his hand!" He yelled at himself in my mind. Even at constant encouragement and yelling at himself, the prince side couldn't do it. Roman was frustrated at himself for not doing anything.

Logan glanced at Virgil to find him looking down and tired. He coughed a bit, covering his mouth. Logan swore he saw a petal fall out of Virgil's mouth.

Logan opened his mouth to say something but then Patton put a spoonful of Crofters in his mouth. "Just ask Patton about this later." He told himself in his mind. Not saying anything to Virgil now, because it might put him on the spot, something their son hates.

Something that would regret and haunt him sooner or later.

Next day, Patton woke up at the early hours of the morning like 3 AM something. He decided to get a drink so he got up and made his way to the kitchen while humming.

He stopped his tracks when he saw a certain side that he would do anything for. Virgil was sitting on a chair in the dining room, sleeping, with a bunch of petals around him. He looked very fatigued, but that's probably from the lack of sleep.

Patton titled his head a bit, smiling. "Was he playing with flowers?" His father instincts told him to check how or what was he doing, but he just put his cardigan on him and kissed him on the forehead goodnight then left.

Another thing he would regret later.

Roman woke up at the middle of the night or the early morning, he can't tell in that moment, from the sound of muffled crying and violent coughing. Confused, he sat up. The nearest room to him is Virgil's...

The walls were thick so sounds can't really be heard to the other room. Again, his heart screamed to do something, anything. Every part of him screamed to move and check, yet again not a single movement or word came out.

He sat there, hating and cursing himself. He didn't fall asleep that night or early morning-- whatever, it didn't matter. He was scolding and screaming at himself in his head. He asked himself why didn't he do anything. He was like that, laying down, until the sun rose up.

He didn't even hear Patton knocking. "Roman?" Patton called out, opening the door. Roman finally snapped back to reality then quickly turned his head to Patton. "Oh, hello there, Patton." He greeted, trying to replicate his usual prince like self since he was still upset at himself for what he did...or should he say what he didn't do.

The Father figure sat down and looked at Roman with serious worried look. He asked, "What's wrong, Ro?" Roman chuckled sadly and sat up. He put his hands on his face in frustration. "Me." He answered back.

"I really like- no, I love him to pieces and beyond than that, but I can't even say or do anything, and I don't know why." He confessed, blushing red. Patton's eyes sparkled and squealed, "PRINXIETY IS CANON!!!"
