Chapter 24

Angel sat on the couch, his hand over his mouth and sickness flooding his body. Mr. Cosimo hugged you tightly before you left, offering you tupperwares of  pudding to go. You kindly turned them down and glanced at Angel. He wasn’t looking at you.

He couldn’t even look in your direction. It didn’t matter if you were the girl he was supposed to marry or not. He was in love with you now and there’s nothing that would stop him from having you. Not his parents, not the clingy bitch on his arms, and definitely not Whitney.

A smiling chauffeur gave you a ride to the airport and carried your bags onto the Cosimo private jet that would fly you home. Normally you’d try to sleep on the flight home, as you did on the way to Italy. But you couldn’t. Not now. You were losing the man you loved, and he didn’t even know. The nearly eight hour flight was cold and quiet, sleepless and silent. You felt terribly sick the entire time, as though you’d never be good again.

You wondered, how would Whitney react, knowing you were sent home? You kind of hoped he would be outraged, demand to bring you back and them marry you himself. In your sad, dreaming daze, you remained on your way home.

Meanwhile, Angel left Miranda to get herself situation in your… her, room…

It felt wrong to let her use your things. To allow her to sleep in the same bed you did, especially when she didn’t comprehend how precious you were. Instead, she plopped down on your bed and stretched out, calling for Emiko to drag her heavy bags into the room.

The poor little maid obeyed and heaved what might as well have been rocks upstairs, and Angel watched her struggle. He smiled gently, remembering how you didn’t do that. Actually, you wanted to carry your stuff yourself. You were humble, sweet, kind. Nothing like Miranda.

God, he already missed you so much. You were perfect to him. You didn’t put up with anyone’s shit, and you were strong and powerful. You were a goddess in his eyes. And angel’s goddess…

As he leaned against the pillar in the foyer, a plan began to unfold in Angel’s mind. It happened as though it was someone else’s plan, embedded in his mind by some majik or something.

First step to his plan: deal with the bitchy pest infesting your room.

But no, Angel would have to wait. A goddess like you would always be worth the wait.

Could this be the startings of yandere feelings from Angel? Perhaps...
