After all, I figured out that the most precious, the most decent, the purest present you can give to your lover is not wrapped in colorful ribbon. It doesn't shine or cost a fortune. It may not come in handy in the ordinary life, like a clock or a cellphone, but it's worthier than all of them combined. All you can give to your lover is your own self-esteem. It is to learn how to accept yourself. Actually, the other gifts offer temporary happiness or satisfaction. They may look fancy and nice, but knowing the true value of yourself, your well-being, guarantees much more.
So, next time you want to make up for what you did wrong to your partner, start focusing on your personal development. Take care of your body and spirit.
Unless each of us focuses on their health and welfare, we cannot enrich the other's life with love and good care.
