7) Girls are just not my type

~Dominic's POV~

A few weeks back, I had told my parents that I was Bi. But now... I'm starting to question that. Recently, I have had ZERO interest in girls and more interest in guys. So... I think I might be gay... But my parents want me to marry a nice sweet girl. They said "As long as you still like girls and you marry one, it doesn't matter if you like men or date a few." But, I wanna marry a guy. And that guy is known other than Alcor Cipher. The nicest and cutest guy I know. He helped me figure out I'm gay, no literally but you get my point. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to tell my parents that I'll never marry a girl as I'm not as straight as their thought i was. They might kick me out and then what will I do! Well, I might as well tell them and suffer the consequences now.

I walked down the stairs to find my mom and dad arguing with each other. I wanted to know what it was about, so I hid around the corner and listened in.

Mom: Why are you so homophobic?!
Dad: Well how else is he gonna have kids and continue our legacy!
Mom: If he wants to marry a guy, then let him!
Dad: NO! Being gay is wrong! It's a sin!
Mom: No it is not!
Dad: Yes it is! And if you don't agree with me, then I'm leaving!
Mom: Then I guess you better leave!
Dad: Oh! And by the way, I was cheating on you this whole time you stupid cow!

My dad slammed the front door, leaving my mom on her knees in tears. I came out of my hiding spot and ran up to my mum to make sure she's alright.

"Mom! Are you alright?!" I helped her get up and dry her tears. She led me to the living room and sat me down.

"Well, honey. As you just heard, me and you dad have split up. He had been cheating on me and he was very homophobic towards you and I didn't like that. And I know that you also need to tell me a few things, correct." How did she-?

"Y-Yes I do... Well, I'm gay and I have a crush on this boy at my school named Alcor" She looked me up and down before smiling.

"Well I'm happy that you found someone to love. Whether you prefer men, women, both or all. I'm happy for you." My mother was always a caring person, but this just proves that statement even more true.

My mother pulled me into her embrace and put in a movie. That night was all about me and her laughing and joking around. I fell asleep in my mother's arms. I love her so much.
