Tad is not one to have irrational fears but he does have one. He is afraid of shadows. Something horrific happened when he was younger, I won't go into full detail though as it is very traumatising. His parents were killed right infringe of him but at the time he was held down and was forced to look at the ground. The only thing he could see was the shadows of his parents and the killer. The only way he knew what was happening was with the shadows. That is how he developed the fear and he had to undergo counselling for about 5 years.

He doesn't really have a fear as such of them he just hates them. He loves anything dark and obviously the sun is bright not dark and it makes shadows and he also hates bright things so... yeah.
