Cole let's go of your shoulder. He takes a seat in front of you and takes his cup of (tea/coffee). He takes a slip of the liquid and narrows his eyes at you.
"Who was he?"
"I don't know. I guess some biker from the other side of the city."
"Those guys are nothing, but trouble. Stay away from him or you'll end up being too damaged to walk. get hurt and I won't be able to help you out."
"Okay, sure." Like heck. I'm going to hang out with him like it or not. You pick up your (coffee/tea) and take a sip ftom it.
{ An hour later}
You sigh while you head down a trail in the park. Cole suggested a walk in the park before you guys went back to your house. Cole tosses his cup into a trash can and looks at you.
"I'll be right back. Don't stray off, okay." You nod your head. He disappears down a trail toward some buildings as you take a seat on a close bench. You lean your back against the metal frame. Just as you look up at the moon above your head, something trips over your foot and you can hear a thump.
Puzzled, you look in the direction of the sound. Your eyes go wide with shock. A boy around your age with light purple locks and light skin is laying on the grass face forward.
You stand up and walk up to him. You immediately notice a sparyed painted skateboard laying next to his head. You tap his shoulderblade.
"Hey, kid. Are you alright?" You ask. He pushes himself up to a sitting position.
He looks up at you and smilies.
"Yeah." He replies and dusts himself off. He picks up the skateboard.
"Are you sure?" You ask.
"Yeah. I've had plenty of falls like that one. Oh, yeah, I'm Kou." He says while letting out his hand. You take his hand. He quickly shows you a handshake just as Cole pops out of nowhere.
"What did I say about straying off?" He crosses his arms.
"I didn't. He tripped over my foot while skateboarding and fall. I had to make sure he was okay." You reply.
"Hey, dude. Nice to meet you." Kou says.
"Yeah, sure." Cole grabs your wrist. Kou places his skateboard on the ground and balances on the board. He speeds away down a park trail and waves at you.
"Come on, let's go to your house." Cole says. He drags you away from the park and back to his pick up truck.
{An hour later}
You unlock your front door and look back at Cole.
"Thanks for hanging out with me, today." You say. He smilies and hugs you.
"Yeah, of course." He lets go of you. You immediately notice something shining behind his back. You roll your eyes.
"What are hiding?" You ask, crossing your arms.
"Oh, this." He replies while showing you a metal bat.
"Why do you need a bat?"
"For you." He swings the bat at your head but you duck. The bat hits the wall with a thump sound. You try to run away, but he grabs your arm and pulls you toward him.
"Just stay still." He says. You struggle against his grip. Suddenly, his body goes limp and hits the wooden floor.
You look up to come face to face with Ethan. You race up to him and wrap your arms around his neck.
He wraps his arms around your waist.
"Thank you." You say and bury your head into his neck.
"You're safe for now." He says. Something sharp stabs into your skin. Your vision goes blurry and everything goes completely black.
