Chapter 15: Blazing wounds

      You stand to your feet while gazing at Beth. "For a little girl she's tough." You think and glance at the strange man. His jet locks are spiked up like someone just shocked him. White foam leaks from his cracked lips and his eyes appear to be closed. You slightly kick his arm to see if he will move or open his eyes. You wait a minute and nothing. You shrug your shoulders in response and turn your head toward the little girl.

     She quickly picks up her glove and slips it over her tiny wrist. She glances at him and Rosa. She lifts up her head and locks eyes with you. 

      "I'm sorry." She says. Her voice is stern and serious despite, some tears clouding her big sparkling eyes. 

     "Why were you with her, anyway?" You ask while tilting your skull to the right. She shrugs her shoulders and sits on her knees next to his body. Right as she slips her glove off again, he opens his eyes and quick as a flash himself he roughly grabs her wrist. Crazeness flickers in his eyes while a twisted grin appears on his lips. 

     She frowns at him and places her index finger on top of his forehead. Electric purple shock waves appear around her fingertip. The electricity pulses throughout his body causing him have seruizes. More white foam leaks from his mouth and drips onto his chin. You watch in horror and curiosity flickers in your eyes. 

       His eyes roll back and suddenly, his body goes limp. 

       "Did you kill him?" She lifts up her index finger while tilting her head your way. You glance at his forehead to see a cemetery gate symbol engraved in his skin. 

      "What are you?" You ask, stepping away from her. She rolls her eyes and stamds to her feet. She narrows her eyes at you while stepping closer. 

     "No, I didn't kill him. I put him in a coma enough to have a human stay out for a year which means he will wake up in about a day. He's a cross breed of something unatural to the world and environment. As for your second question, I'm a hybrid. I'm half vampire and half.....just think of some character with electricity powers." She replies while slipping on glove on once more. 

        "We better go." She heads straight for the truck. You follow her but you stop your tracks. You glance at Rosa's unconscious body. Beth opens the door and looks past the door to look directly at you.

     "What are you doing?" She raises an eyebrow at you.

     "I can't leave her, here. Not like this." You mumble. 

     "But she wants to kill you!" 

     "I know." 

     "Then, why?" 

    "She's still my best friend. I can't leave her like this. I'm going to help her if she is still alive." You snap back and walk up her body. You sits on your knees next to her. 

      You wrap your fingers around her wrist. You glance at her tear stained face. 

      "I'm sorry, you've become what you are. I know during our time in jail they were about to put me in a electric chair and you stopped them." You check her pulse and immediately pick up a weak beat of her heart. You let go of her wrist and intertwine your fingers with hers. 

       "And now you'ee like this. They did this to you. Now,it's my turn to help you." You say and let go off her hand. You move her left arm around your shoulder and somewhere manage pick her body up to standing position. You manage to make it to the truck. Beth rolls her eyes but opens the door to the backseat for you. 

       She helps you put Rosa's unconscious frame into the backseat. You sit next to her while Beth gets into the driver's seat. For a little girl her age, she can reach the gas and brakes pedals along with the steering wheel. Luckily, her head almost touches the ceiling making it where she can clearly see to drive. 

      She searches the dashboard and immediately finds the keys. She starts the engine and heads away from the house heading deeper into the forest.
