Like a Miracle

This was it. Sportacus was going to do this... In five more minutes, or perhaps ten. Yes, in ten minutes, he was going to tell Emilia how much he liked her. He felt incredibly nervous, but it was still the good kind. The kind of nervousness that only Emilia seemed capable of making him feel.

"You know you've been standing there for almost fifteen minutes, right?"

Sportacus jumped at the sound of Emilia's voice. He looked to his left, instantly spotting the woman smirking at him through an open window.

"Hi, Em," Sportacus greeted. "May I come in? I'd like it to tell you something."

"Sure," Emilia nodded. She then gestured to the door before him, "The door is unlocked, so come on in."

Sportacus opened the brightly colored door and entered the house to join Emilia in the small kitchen. She smiled at him, sitting down at the dining table. Sportacus took a seat as well. Emilia took note of his demeanor. His usually happy aura was replaced with one of extreme nervousness.

"What did you need to tell me?" Emilia asked. She tried to offer Sportacus a comforting smile, but that didn't seem to help him at all.

"We've been friends, I would like to think, since you came to LazyTown," Sportacus began, "and if that's all you want to be, I'm perfectly okay with that... but I just want you to know that I would like to be more. I really like you, Em."

"I like you, too," Emilia said. "I like you a lot. You're a great person, Sportacus."

A smile spread across the hero's face. Sportacus couldn't believe it! Emilia liked him! It almost felt like a miracle!

"Would you like to go on a date with me?" Sportacus asked.

"I would love to," Emilia smiled. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.

Sportacus grinned. He laughed quietly to himself and returned Emilia's hug. He pulled her as close to his chest as he possibly could. There was now only one thing that Sportacus knew with one hundred percent certainty, which was that he couldn't wait for to see where things would go in the next step of his relationship with Emilia.
