Wish You Were Here

Dear Emilia,

I'll never give this letter to you. I just feel as though I need to finally admit some things to myself.

Autumn is slowly turning into winter, which I know makes you sad because the beautiful leaves you love so much are leaving until next year. I've never struggled to fall asleep before. At least, not until I began dating you. Not to say it's your fault, of course! My thoughts of you frequently keep me awake now. I think about you a lot, I suppose.

Not sleeping on my regular schedule, however, gives me an opportunity to analyze my thoughts properly, I suppose. I know I like you. But as I lay here, struggling to dream, I'm starting to think that may I love you.

I wish you were here.

Always yours,
Sportacus
