Ronin lays limp in Indrims grasp, eyes blank and foaming at the mouth.

Would you put him down, I feel like you might be choking him. Victor sighs.

Indrim looks down and drops Ronin with a shocked frantic look on her face. I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY!!

Ronin finally comes to and sits up looking at Indrim with disdain. Next time, don't drag me around like a rag doll.

Indrim bows repeatedly. I'm sorry, I'm sorry!

Relax. Ronin says standing up. Victor, what do you know about the Elementals?

Victor looks shocked and quickly moves to his bookshelves, throwing books onto the table. Victor finally finishes and steps over to the massive pile of books on the table. They are a handful of legendary dragons, powers unmatched by any other being in our world.

Oh, ominous! Ronin saying mockingly.

THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER! Victor shouts then quickly collects himself. The previous King and Queen were two of the oldest Elemental dragons still free to wander the land because they assisted the first King of Dragul to seal away the other five.

Then that means....

Yes, you currently process the strength of two Elemental dragons, but even that may not be enough to defeat a single one of the others. You have the fire, water, sky, earth, and forest dragons.

Forgive me, but isn't earth and forest the same things?

Not exactly, the forests are governed separately from the earth.

Sounds familiar in so many ways. Ronin thinks.

Victor goes on. Some of them might be willing to ally with you, but don't count on it.

Well, We can't justify letting the fight come to us, so we will have to find the fight for ourselves.

How are we going to do that? Indrim asks.

We have an intelligence network, remember? Ronin says.

Indrim thinks for a moment. OH, Itsuki and Martha!

Ronin calls everyone to the Throne room. The Elemental Dragons have awakened, and we must track them down and stop their inevitable rampage if that be their intention. Itsuki, Martha, and Foiah I leave this task to you three. Find them and report, if you become cornered use a gate to get back here at once.

Itsuki, Martha, and Foiah bow to leave, but before they can even turn a thunderous knock can be heard upon the throne room door.

Open it. Ronin commands the guard.

As they open it, a gust of wind blows in as a tall, very muscular, brown-haired man with three scars across his left eye walks in. His stride is one of confidence and strength as he quickly approaches Ronin. Before he can reach the throne Ronin steps off to meet him.

It is such a pleasure to see a new King of Dragul, I grew so tired of the first one. The man says.

May I presume you are one of the Legendary Elemental Dragons? Ronin asks.

I am Sora, Dragon of the Sky. I have come simply to pay my respects for the passing of the last King and Queen.

We appreciate it greatly. Indrim bows.

You must be the Princess? Sora asks.

Yes. Indrim responds.

Sora takes her hands in his. I am truly sorry for your loss, I know it may yet hurt but your parents send their good wishes.

May I ask how you know all this? Ronin asks.

In addition to my elemental powers, I govern the spiritual plain. And I know your spirit was not born in this world, but I also know you are more than fit to be King.

You honor us great dragon...

Please, no need for formalities, call me Sora. Sora stretches out his hand.

Ronin shakes his hand. Would you like to stay awhile, it is not every day I get to have a Legendary Elemental Dragon as my guest?

If there is food involved, I am starving after three hundred years of being sealed away. Sora chuckles.

Three hundred year? Edgar lied to me, HE WAS ANCIENT!!! Ronin thinks to himself.

Ronin turns. PREPARE A BANQUET IN HONOR OF OUR GUEST.

All the maids bow and hurry off.

Itsuki nods. Very diplomatic.

I agree this is very fortunate for us to make a possible ally this early in the campaign. Victor responds.

He is a meow-sum looking guy! Martha drools.

Itsuki clocks her in the head. Keep it in your pants.

Foiah just stares, as she often does, silent and judging.

Then it is settled, you shall be our guest for as long as you wish to stay. Ronin says smiling.

Feed me well and I'm yours for life, friend. Sora wraps an arm around Ronin's shoulder and walks with him out.

The Legendary Elemental Dragon of the Sky has suddenly shown up at the Dragul Kingdom, but is he truly a friend or is he just a distraction for what is to come? Will our hero be fighting a full-blown war of the Elementals? Will Indrim ever be named Queen? Find out next time.
