The year was one of the worst of my life. I was going through homeschool, teaching my own self muggle subjects. I hardly ate and got skinner. My hair grew longer and I never went outside. If I ate, it would only be 5% of my meal. My mom was saying how I was getting skinner and wouldn't eat. She would say I had depression. That was obvious. One of the most important places to me was taken from me. It's obvious I would be depressed. I didn't have an eating disorder, I just never felt like eating. I spent most of my time sleeping. Hermione only wrote to me once and I never heard from her again. This year was so hard. I just wished I could be at Hogwarts.
I woke up. It was the middle of the night. I heard tapping on my window and opened it. A strange, white owl with blue eyes entered my room. It had a letter. I raised an eyebrow, taking the letter from it. It flew away, going back to wherever it came from. I looked at the letter. It was in an envelope and had a Hogwarts seal on it? I slowly opened it and read the letter, "Dear Evelyn Oglesby, I am very happy to inform you that your conditions have dropped. Draco Malfoy has been taken to another school and the Malfoy family has seemingly forgotten about the incident. We miss you dearly and would like for you to return for your fourth year. Sincerely, Albus Dumbledore." I smiled wide. They wanted me back! I could go back! I quickly ran out of my room, to my parents rooms. I knocked softly, hearing them grumble and groan. I rolled my eyes. The news would have to wait. I fell asleep for a few more hours and woke up at 5:00 am. I got up and walked downstairs to make breakfast. I made toast, waffles, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. Just as I finished, my mom came down the stairs. She kissed my head and raised an eyebrow. "You.... Cooked?" I smiled and nodded, still holding my letter from Hogwarts . My dad soon came down and kissed my head, sitting down. As I ate, I happily hummed. "Why are you so happy, honey?," my mother asked, smiling softly. I forgot I still had the letter in my hand and passed it to her, taking a bite out of my bacon. She read it and said, "honey! She's returning to Hogwarts! She can go back!" My father read the letter and grinned from ear to ear. " This is wonderful, cupcake! We'll drop you off at the station after breakfast. "
After breakfast, we put my bags in the trunk of the car and drove to the station. Once we arrived, we walked to the station together. When I had to get out of the train, we gave our hugs and kisses and I boarded the train. I sat alone and saw Hermione pass, but she didn't notice me. A few hours later, we arrived to the boats and I saw Severus, Hagrid, and McGonagall. I ran to McGonagall and hugged her. She didn't hug back, but asked, "do I know you?" I replied with a smile, "McGonagall, it's me!.... Evelyn Oglesby." McGonagall studied my face then hugged me back nearly shouting, "Miss. Oglesby! I have missed you so much!" Hagrid overheard and walked over giving me a big hug laughing, "you're back, Evelyn! I missed ya!" I smiled and said, "I missed you as well." Severus coldly said, "all 4th year students follow me." I ran to Severus to hug him, but I was abruptly pushed away. "Do I know-," Severus growled, softening his voice when he realized who I am. "Evelyn... Oglesby? Evelyn Oglesby? Is it really you?," he mumbled, astonished. I nodded and said, "hello professor... It's me." He softly smiled, but his face immediately went back to emotionless. I smiled wide at him. I couldn't believe it. I walked beside him, the others walking behind us. I looked up at him as he continued to look ahead, walking fast.... It was fast for me, but it was a regular walk for him. He had a long cape that blew elegantly behind him, making him look like a king. I saw his wand attached to his side as he continued to walk. He stopped at the boats and said, "three per boat... All may leave... Except.... Evelyn Oglesby." Each time he said his name, I felt my body get full of butterflies... I returned and had a crush on Severus... Nothing better than that.... He totally wouldn't hate me if he found out.
After everyone boarded the boats, they left and we began walking to Hogwarts in silence. Finally, I spoke. "How have you been?," I asked, looking up at Severus. Severus didn't look at me and admitted, "it's been hard, Evelyn... Not having you around was very hard for me." I blushed and said, "I apologize, professor." Hearing the name he cringed and grumbled, "it's... Severus." I laughed, " right....Sorry, Severus. " He ignored my apology and said, "this Christmas will be the first time you have a chance to go to the Yule Ball.... Are you going?" I answered , "possibly... I'm... Not sure. Debating on if I can pass my classes or not, I'll make my decision then... Also...." I pulled out a book from the inside of my robe and passed it to Severus. He seemed quite amused to see I had it. "You kept it all this time?," he asked, still not looking at me. I responded, " I did. It was the only thing that could remind me of you and I wasn't ready to let that go. " Severus smiled a bit, but forced it to disappear.
