The year was quite easy. I surprisingly was able to keep my classes up at all A's and I understood everything completely. Hermione tried talking to me, but I pushed her away. She couldn't expect me to want to be friends if she never replied to my letter through the whole year.
I was at lunch and a Slytherin was talking to me. "Did you hear about the Triwizard Tournament?," she asked, amused. I replied, "the what?" She replied , "the Triwizard Tournament is a classic tournament partaking Hogwarts and two other schools. you must be 18 or older in order to join... The Goblet of Fire will be brought out tonight for the people to put in their names." I nodded. That's why there were two other schools here with us today.
The next day, Dumbledore explained that three champions will be chosen for the tournament. The Goblet of Fire had then shot out a paper. Cedric Digory was chosen for the Hogwarts competitor. I didn't pay attention to the two other names. As Dumbledore explained what the first competition would be, the fire roared to life, flying a paper in his hand. He read it and his face turned shock, angry, and scared. "Evelyn Oglesby!," he called looking for me. I turned pale, too afraid to do anything! "Evelyn Oglesby!!!," he shouted my name, making me jump up. I walked to him and walked where the other competitors were, slowly. Severus had followed me and motioned for me to walk with him where the others weren't. "How did you do it?," he asked in a serious, cold tone. Realizing his stare had never been so cold, I replied with attitude. "it's funny you think I'd actually put my own damn name in the goblet," I said, noticeably rolling my eyes. Severus sighed and whispered, "look... I know it's not you who put your name in there, Evelyn... I just have to pretend as if it really was you. I just leave you here... Good luck." Severus began walking away, but I whisper yelled, "Severus!" He turned to me and grumbled, "yes, Oglesby?" I replied , "if I die, don't forget me." He had an amused look in his eyes and whispered, "don't worry... I won't let you die." At that, he left me with the others.
