Present Day - April 11, 2018
Lalisa POV
Forever young! Pam pam pam pam pam, forever young!
The music was blaring from the stereo of my small studio apartment here in the city of Bangkok. I danced to the beat while preparing for my simple breakfast of Thai instant noodles which we call as bahmi kung sam ret rup. Yes, I know, a mouthful. We Thais always have long names for everything. We only call it bahmi in short. Though bahmi actually means egg noodles which this wasn't. Well, I can't really cook so my usual meals when I'm at home were either instant bahmi, bread with spreads, cereals or just fruits. I often live with coffees as well. However, I definitely can't live not eating for the whole day straight. The monster inside my tummy always go crazy at not being fed at. Taken that I have quite a fast metabolism, I often took snacks and junk food which was mostly sweets in between meals. My mother who live at her own home with my father, always nagged me about eating well.
I'm quite excited today as I just heard from a reliable source - which was actually my cousin, Sorn, who works in the production crew about the number one hottest girl group, the BlackPink girls which were about to release an awaited EP with few extra songs. I hope my next job was covering for them. That would be amazing as I am one of their fans here in Thailand. Consist of four member group, they were currently trending in my country taken as Pranpriya, the youngest member of the group was from my country. She was such a beauty with so much talent that I myself can't help but to be a fan of. Many of my friends said we look alike, that we even have similar characters. What a joke. I am nobody while she is a superstar.
The other members consist of Chichu, the eldest; also the visual and lead vocalist of the group. Her beauty was totally goddess-like that every time you look at her, she takes your breath away. Next was Ruby Jane, the main rapper and vocalist of the group. She is hot and cold so people will either adore her or hate her, which doesn't involve me as I like to stay on the side line. Just kidding, I love that savage princess. She was kind of my type, you know. Savage on the outside but cute and fluffy on the inside. Like churos. Who doesn't love churos? People without taste, of course. Then there's Rosé, the main vocalist and lead dancer. She is soft and cuddly but never underestimate her because she can crush you with just one look. And her honey-like voice is to die for. The last member of the group, my "doppelganger" - please insert laughing memes here - Pranpriya, was the main dancer, lead rapper, subvocalist and maknae - which means youngest - of the group. I'm totally in love with these four dorks.
The sound of Bangkok early in the morning was pronouns with all the traffics blaring below my apartment. After having my breakfast and gotten cleaned up with my usual morning routine, I prepared myself to meet up with my boss, Miss Roseanne Park. She was the head of the magazine editors for one of a successful business insiders magazine here in this country. She texted me last night for the meeting in her office today. Most probably for the new assignment. We have talked about me covering for the BlackPink comeback and hopefully this was it.
Gotten into my most prized bike, I navigated the traffic of Bangkok. If you have been here, you'd know how bad Bangkok traffics were, so having a bike was really a blessing in disguise though I enjoyed riding it. I love how the cool wind grazed my face and how it makes me feel so carefree. Just like dancing. I love dancing. It's a passion of mine apart from my work which was photography.
Parking into my usual spot below our office, I greeted our guard, Mr Sampith before going inside our building. It's a forty five story building located here in Satorn Road, Chong Nongsi. Many compared the neighborhood to local equivalent to London City, the area is famous for its iconic skyline, especially with the presence of the pixelated MahaNakhon currently Thailand's tallest tower. Our office was located at the highest floor of this building.
