Chapter Three

"Beef. That's Beef" I thought to my self as me and Frantic walked down the stairs to the kitchen. When we got to the bottom of the stairs, I could tell it was beef. The smell was overwhelming. We went to the kitchen to have a roast beef dinner displayed on the table infront of us.

"I hope you like it" Frantics mum said.

"Thanks mum" Frantic said thankfully.

"Thank you. It grate." I said kindly. "Thank for having me over."

"That fine." She said. "Anything to help my sons boyfriend."

At this point in time we both froze of fear. How? How did she find out? We have only been going out for a week. I looked back at Frantic. He was just scared as me. Shivering like bethor.

"How mum?" Frantic asked. "Just how?"

"You have been acting very strangely recently." She said. "And I was worried so I looked in your phone."

I could see Frantic was getting emotional. I could tell as he started to tear up.

"And then I saw the messages between you and Shadow. Thats how I know about your parents Shadow. Listen. I'm happy for both of you and I was just worried." She said with a bit of guilt in her voice.

The next thing I know Frantic ran to his mum and gave her a hug. I couldn't help but smile. "I wish I could do that with my mum." I thought too my self as I started to tear up.

After a minute or so Frantic broke the hug and came to me. He must of saw that I was upset as he gave me a hug. After that we just sat down and started to eat.

The beef was amazing. We could never have big family dinners at home. It would just end up in another fight. They can't go one night without fighting. Normally I would just go to to the park or go up in my room but this time it must bad as mum asked me to go to one of my friends. I hope everything ok.

After we finished eating and cleaned up we just sat down in the living room. We just sat there and watched telly. After a while Frantic mum started to ask awkward questions. Like how do we know that we are gay and how do you know that you made the right choice. But it was soon interrupted by sirens. I looked out the window and I saw a police car with a German Shepherd stepping out. At this point I felt Frantic hugging me tightly. I was shaking crazily.

Ring. Ring.

The door bell rang. I turned around and hug Frantic back.

"I will get it." Frantics mum said as she walked to the door.

I didn't quite hear what they said but I heard something about my mum.

"Shadow. It's for you." Frantic mum said.

I broke from the hug and walked to the door. Frantic followed behind me.

"Are you Shadow?" The officer said. He was your typical German Shepherd but it looked like his left ear had been bitten.

"Yes." I said nervously.

"My name is officer John from the Nottinghamshire's police force." He said. "You need to come with me to Queens Medical Centre."

"Why?" I asked. At this point I noticed that Frantic was holding my paw.

"Your mother and father got in a fight. Your mum got stabbed and is in hospital where as your father is in custody for attempted murder. I'm sorry Shadow."

I just broke down in tears. I was crying my eyes out. Frantic sat beside me and comfort me. This has never happened to me bethor. I have never been close to my parents but this was upsetting.

"Can Frantic come with me? To comfort me." I asked wiping my tears.

"It's fine by me officer." Frantics mum said.

"Then I can't see why not." The police officer said.

"Do you want to come?" I asked Frantic depressingly.

"If it help you I will." He replied said happily.

Frantic grabbed my hand to help me stand up straight and then we got ready to go to the hospital. After about 5 minutes later we were ready to go. Frantic said bye to his mum while giving her a hug, and I thanked her for having me round for tea. After that we got in to the police car and we drove to the hospital.

"Thanks for coming. It means a lot." I said as I started to cry.

"Hey." He said."We look out for each other."

All of a sudden I felt a little sleepy. It was only about 6:50. I thought it was because of all of the emotions so I had a little nap.

"Night Shadow" Frantic said as I fell asleep.

"What do I say to mum about Frantic?" I thought in my sleep. "I'm sure she will be fine. I will just have to tell her straight. I will have to tell here that I'm gay..."
