(This chapter is a dream Shadow had whilst he was asleep.)
I ran. I didn't look back. I just ran. A dozen questions went through my mind. How did he find out? What happens if he catches me? Will he hurt Dander? Those thoughts made me run even faster. I was running away from Kayle. His yell got louder instead of quieter and his foot steps got louder as he got closer.
"Shadow!!!" I heard Kayle bloom at the top of his voice.
I was out of breath and I just fell to the floor. I was to tried to stand. Kayle walked up beside me laughing a evil laugh. He grabbed me by the neck, almost choking me, and chucked me at the lockers. I hit the lockers with my muzzle which caused a massive yelp to come out. I felt a warm liquid come from my nose. Blood. It was unbelievable painful. He grabbed my arm and looked me in the eyes. "You dare come near me again and it will be a lot worse."
Darkness. Before I could say anything I was knocked out cold.
" Shadow. Shadow can you hear me? Shadow wake up."
(Out of the dream)
I feel Frantic nudging me. "Shadow wake up. Are you ok?" I hear him say. I open my eyes just enough to see Frantic sitting next to me.
"Sorry i-it must have been a nightmare." I say as he hugged me.
"Do you want me to get in bed with you. To comfort you." He asked.
"If you don't mind." I replied. With that said Dander got into bed with me and I snuggled up to him.
"Love you." Frantic said.
"Love you too." I replied as we both fell asleep.
The nightmare worried me. Would it happen tomorrow? Will Kayle want to harm me or Frantic? But all the bad thoughts went away because I was with Frantic. I loved him so much and I couldn't imagine me living a life without him. I guess I will have to wait to find out what happens tomorrow.
