Make Forever Happen

Before...

BEFORE READING: I just wanted to say that this is my first ever story and that everything I have written is straight out of my mind so please be open minded if there are typos and mess ups, that's why I am hoping you can comment and give me some tips and pointers to make the story better! I hope you like it an enjoy!

College was always something I had always wanted in my future, but once I got to my freshman year of high school; it left my mind. That's when I started to plan my life out with the military.

  As soon as I turned 16 while being a junior in high school, I went straight to the nearest Armed Forces Career Center and asked which office was for the Navy. At first, I was conflicted between the Navy & the Marine Corps.

Once I chose my branch —it being the Navy— my recruiter asked me if I was okay with taking the mandatory enlistment test, and of course I answered fast & told him to schedule it as soon as possible. Obviously I wasn't thinking so it ended up conflicting with two days of missed school.

At first I was nervous but when I got to the facility I had a boost of confidence. Looking around, all you could see were different military uniforms, from Marines in dress-blues to Soldiers in their cami's. As my eyes kept roaming the area I was in, they stopped on a Sailor in dress-whites. He seemed young, maybe a year or two older than me? But boy did he look fine. That's when my life changed, in that moment I hadn't known what I do now. I didn't know he'd sneak into my life and change it forever.
