Make Forever Happen

Confusion...

" I still can't believe Alexander is going to San Antonio with you!" My mom says as I show her & Jack around the corridor I stayed in for 2 months; with a bunch of other women. I decide to respond to my mom, " That makes two of us mom, I'm just overall shocked with him being here." As I walk over to where my rack was made & "mine" from this morning, Jack comes over to me & says, " He's changed Maria, what went down between you two 2 years ago, won't happen again, trust me on this one little-sis." I turn and give him a reassuring nod telling him that I understand & that I'll do my best to give Alexander another chance.

While I'm walking back to the deck with my mom & Jack, I hug them goodbye for now as they head back to their hotel, I make my way to Natalia whose sitting on a nearby bench. She asks me if I had a good family day and I ask her the same thing back, we both end up giggling & walked with linked arms, we take a few pictures together and before we head back over to where our RDC's told us to be, she taps my forearm and whispers to me, " Alexander is walking towards us, what do you want to do? ... Maria? Hello? Earth to Seaman Apprentice June?!" And her calling me by my military name sets me out of my deep thought of Alexander & I kissing from my high school grad party.

I tell her, " Natalia, it'll be fine, I'll be fine, go catch up with Seaman Recruit Blane. I HAVE to talk to him." As she does what I tell her, Alexander stands next to me and I notice his eyes go straight to my lips, and says, " God I miss kissing your lips, I miss being with you & being your safe place baby." My heart melts when he calls me that, god I've missed him more than anything.

I let out a sigh and tell him, " I've missed everything Alexander, but where do we go from this? It's been 2 years, and why are going to San Antonio with me? I NEED answers for why you left my grad party pissed off?" He lets out a loud sigh full of emotion and goes into detail about why he left my party 2 years ago pissed off, he tells me how we can work this out, and fully wanting to explain why he's going to San Antonio with me, and after all his convincing he finally says to me.

"The reason I left pissed & never came back was because I was getting deployed and I didn't know how to tell you, the love of my life that I was leaving, secondly, I'm going to San Antonio with you because I switched my orders for however long you will be at Fort Sam Houston for A school, and finally, I haven't stopped loving you Maria, you've been my light when I was going through my toughest days & nights." When he mentions me being his light, he pulls out the picture of me that he took when I first met him.

I was wearing the DEP t-shirt my recruiter gave me before swearing in, and my wild curls were everywhere. Now that Alexander steps closer to me and cups each side of my face & whispers, " I love you more now than I ever have in my entire life." As his hot breath make me lose mine, before I know it, his lips crash against mine and he pulls me against him while his hands fall from my face and down to my waist.

After what seems like hours but was actually minutes of making out, I pull away and call him his nickname that I gave him years back,and say breathing heavily, "Xander ... I have to go back to the deck, the RDC's want us there before we leave for A school." He nods and then says, " I'll take you, I know the short cuts from when I was here years ago." He then grabs my small hand in his large one & we start running since I'm almost late. Right before the liberty hall, we stop, he gives me a quick kiss & tells me he'll meet me back here with all of his luggage so we can go to the airport and board our flight to San Antonio Texas; hopefully our new beginning for the next few months.
