Make Forever Happen

The Story.

   * Back to Present time *

   " Maria... what happened?" Nikki is asking me in pure worry as I look at her, and I respond back saying, " It started 4 years ago when I was around 15, I dated Sam, he was the bad boy type and I had a thing for that type, anyways, him and I were 3 months into dating and he was abusive towards me, and one night he took it farther than ever, since every time I'd stand my ground, but that one night I almost died..."

I paused wincing in pain and lifting my shirt up to reveal the 4 inch long scar above my right hip bone and continue to say, " This... this was what S-Sam," as I make a face full of disgust by saying his name. "Left me with, I lost a lot of blood and I genuinely thought I was going to be left for dead... until Xander showed up with my brother & the cops." I look back at Xander and hold onto his arm tightly.

Nikki is now holding my hand and says, " Girl I'm so sorry you had to go through that at such a young age, did he... uhm... did he touch you?" And with that question Xander tensed up, but I squeezed his hand to let him know that it's in the past.

Before I can answer Nikki, I tell Xander to go check up on Liam and he gives me the " are you sure you'll be okay" look, and I sweetly tell him, "Baby I'll be fine, plus I have to talk to Nikki." As he closed the door, I tell Nikki to come sit next to me on the bed so I can ask her what's going on with her & Liam, trying to distract myself from what's happening on the other side of that door and the topic of him. "Okay so spill the boiling tea!! What's up with you & Liam?!" I ask in full excitement, I can see the blush creep up her neck and small shades of pink turn into crimson red on her cheeks as the corner of her lips turn up and smiles while saying, " He saved me and when he was helping me out of bed, I felt a spark of electricity when he touched me and next thing I know we are kissing. I think he's the perfect guy for me Mar. I just have a strong gut feeling"

"Girl if he treats you right and can put up with your sass then you found the right guy boo!" I say as we do a little shimmy on my bed and let out fits of giggles. Then things turn serious as my door opens, it's Xander with Liam, and the cops have Sam in cuffs. "What's going on?" Nikki & I say in unison, then our guys come to us and hug us. Then Sam starts to say, " Hey Alex, she a good fuck? You know you never gave me that chance babe... oh come on Maria you know you loved it whe—" and I launch forward and punch him in right in the nose, then kick him in the balls, in that moment I was on pure anger and adrenaline.

Then, I feel Xander pulling me back by wrapping his arms around my torso and cupping my face with his hands and whispering for me to calm down and take deep breaths. " Hey... Mar don't look at him, look at me, come on babygirl, hey, look at me baby." And I look at him with fear now in my caramel-green eyes, he pulls my face closer to his and he kisses me passionately, his left hand going down to my waist as he pulls me closer when I put my head in the crook of his neck and kiss him there then go back to making out. In what feels like the distance is Liam telling the cops to take Sam away from here in a very sure tone.

Then we hear Liam & Nikki both clear their throats as a sign for us to stop making out in front of them. Liam starts to say, " Hey guys we are gon—" and Nikki grabs his arm, whispers something into his ear, his eyebrows perk up and he had this look in his eyes, then they say their goodbyes. Meaning they are definitely going to be doing something that neither Xander & I want to know in detail.

" I guess that's our cue to leave babe, just take your time with everything, and I'm 100% not leaving your side or room for the next couple of weeks until you fully recover. And before you say anything, Chief Rimbly & Master Chief Kolting gave us medical leave until further notice." He says to me in a somewhat stern & serious tone but still has a smile on his face.

We did good, survived an attack, survived the stupid psycho ex, ANNNDDDD above all, we are slowly healing with our man girly! My subconscious says to me as I smile and attempt to pick up my bag with my stuff that Xander brought, but he rushes it out of my hand and into his, while saying, " Nope, not gonna happen princess, I love you and I know you're strong, but baby don't rush into this recovery, I'll do the heavy lifting for now okay? I just want you to be healed fully first." He says to me in a light voice. " Fine baby, I'll do as you say..." and give him a wink, which drives him crazy.

As we close my hospital door behind us, he waits for me to grab his hand, which I do, and now we go to where the elevators are, that's when I notice something tightening in my gut and eyes on me... it's Sam.
