"Noctis, you're back!" You beamed, running towards Noctis before wrapping your arms around his torso in a tight, sisterly hug.

"How's my little sis doing?" He smiled, patting your head as he returned the hug.

"I'm fine! I just beat your old man in a match of checkers!" You chuckled, feeling proud of yourself for defeating the King of Lucis.

A few years ago, when you were still a child, you were put under the protection of a guardian after your mother passed away from an illness and your guardian was none other than King Regis Lucis Caelum, Noctis' father. From the beginning, Noctis had taken a liking to you. He loved you and treated you like the little sister he never had.

Noctis chuckled wholeheartedly. "I see you had fun while I was out."

"I sure did." You grinned back. Noctis soft expression changed into a troubled one as he remembered what he had found out that day.

Taking a deep breath, he gave you a serious look. "So... I happen to met your father today."

Caught you off guard, you stuttered, "...m-my father?"

"Why didn't you tell me you are the daughter of an astral?" He asked, pursing his lips lightly.

"It's not something I can easily discuss with anyone..."

"Not even with your big brother?"

"I'm sorry, Noctis." You stared at him with downcast eyes.

Noctis sighed and his gaze softened. "I can't stay mad at you, (y/n), can I?" He shook his head.

"You forgive me?" He nodded. "But I lied to you." you knitted your brows, feeling sorry for having to lie to your big brother.

"Well, technically you didn't lie, you just did not tell the truth." He chuckled a bit.

"How's that any different?" You shook your head at him.

Noctis shrugged before flashing you a small, genuine smile. "Your father showed me the truth... and he asked me to take care of his sweet bee. And he also said he loves you."

"Oh, dad..." You felt tears prickling at the corners of your eyes.

You had not seen your father ever since your mother passed away and you missed him so much it hurt. But hearing of him from Noctis brought you relief.

"Thank you, Noctis."

Noctis circled your arms around your frame and held you tight for a few seconds. "No problem."

"You should rest now. I'm sure you must be tired," you said as you broke away from the hug.

He yawned and rubbed his tired eyes, "I'll see you at dinner," he mumbled, smiling.

"Rest well."

After you left, he walked to his bedroom thinking of what the astral had shown him. Once inside his room, he slumped on the bed and sighed.

"The daughter of an astral, huh? Who would have thought?" He yawned once more before letting sleep take over him.
