Upon awakening from a peaceful nap, Noctis turned to look at you with sleepy eyes. However, you were too focused on crafting a flower crown with deft fingers to notice. The gentle breeze ruffled your hair and the verdant leaves of the trees nearby ever so softly. Noctis took a deep breath, revelling in the sweet fragrance of the wildflowers surrounding you and him.

"You've made flower crowns," Noctis stated with a groggy voice.

"I have, yes." You smiled at him and in return, he flashed you the sweetest, boyish grin he could muster. "This one is for the Prince of Lucis." You lilted as soon as you finished making the crown.

Noctis straightened himself and picked up the other crown and said: "Then, this one must be for the Princess." He stated, putting the beautiful flower crown on your head.

"The princess?" You raised your eyebrows playfully.

"Oh, you're right. You'd be a Queen the moment I take your hand in marriage." He mused.

Rolling your eyes you stated: "Oh, Noctis. You and your jokes."

"It's the truth, though. I want to make you my wife." He uttered.

A light blush crept across your cheeks at his blunt words. "Noctis..."

"We have a long way to go before I can righteously make you my wife. But one day I will marry you. It's a promise." He showed you a charming simper. His eyes were filled with love and adoration towards you.

"I love you, Noctis," you mumbled, wrapping your arms around him and hiding your face in the crook of his neck.

"I love you too, (y/n)," he replied softly, enveloping you in his loving arms.

His manly scent and the tender caresses of his hands on your lower back made you feel joyful and safe. Silently, you prayed for the day you were finally able to marry him to come soon.
