"Iggy, could you turn up the radio, please?" You asked from the backseat.

Ignis, Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus and you were on a hunting trip. You had never gotten bored when you were with them. Not even while travelling across Eos in the Regalia to get to whatever the destination was.

"Of course, (y/n)," Ignis replied with a smile, turning up the volume.

The sonorous, comforting voice of Elvis Presley filled the car and you hummed pleasantly to the rhythm of the song.

"And it had to be a love song..." Gladio murmured next to you.

You turned to stare at him, tilting your head bemusedly. "You don't like love songs, Gladio?"

"Yes, Gladio, what's the matter with love songs?" Prompto raised an eyebrow at him from the front seat.

"They are silly. I had enough of love songs." He groaned, crossing his arms over his broad chest.

But that was just a lie. The truth was that love songs reminded him of you. He was not completely sure why they reminded him of you or why you made him feel certain ways whenever he was with you. And that bothered him to no end.

"Well, some people wanna fill the world with silly loves songs. What's wrong with that?" You shrugged, grinning widely.

"Paul McCartney! Nice one, sis." Noctis —your self-proclaimed big brother— beamed, giving you a fist bump.

All of you started singing along except Ignis who was humming and Gladio who was simply scowling as he looked out the window.

"Can you turn it down, Ignis, please..." He grunted.

"Aw, come on, Gladdy. What's with you today? Don't be such a sour puss. We're just having fun." Your lips quirked into a pout as you stared at him with puppy eyes.

There was no way on Earth he could deny you. Not when you were making such an adorable face, anyway.

"Uh, fine..." He avoided your gaze, staring out the window again as he tried to hide the small blush colouring his cheeks.

A few minutes later, Noctis was curled up as he slept soundly next to you while Prompto was passed out on the copilot seat, snoring softly.

Gladio sighed absentmindedly as he mused over the strange way you made him feel. No other woman had made him feel that way. What exactly were you different from the rest?

"Is everything okay?" You asked in a tone of concern.

"Yes..." He mumbled, losing his train of thought.

"You sure? You're usually cheery and today you've been... well, grumpy." He scowled at you and you shrugged.

"See what I mean?" A worried smile tugged at the corner of your lip.

"I just have a lot on my mind." He sighed again.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" You offered.

"I don't think so... I'm gonna take a nap." He turned you down easily.

"Hm, okay," you replied, looking disappointed. However, you smirked impishly when the glimmer of an idea came into your mind.

"H-hey, what do you think you're doing?" He asked startled as you snuggled close to him, resting your head on his shoulder.

"I'm cold," you replied cooly, yet your heart was beating like mad inside your ribcage.

It was no secret you were in love with Gladio. Everyone knew about your crush on him except Gladio himself.

"Then use a blanket." He raised an eyebrow at you.

"Prompto and Noctis are using them. So you're doomed, you'll have to keep me warm," you stated, a wicked look in your eyes.

"Tch, come here." Wrapping an arm around you, he brought you closer to his body.

Buring your face on his chest to conceal your blush, you stuttered, "T-thank you."

"No problem. We're buying more blankets in the next town we step foot into," he stated, rubbing soothing circles with his thumb on your hips.

Breathing deeply, you hummed at the pleasant smell of his musky scent and murmured, "Sure thing. Though, you're warmer than any other blanket."

Pretending as if he did not hear what you had just said, he came to the conclusion that he was falling in love with you. And if that was the case, then you were right: he was, indeed, doomed. Not that he minded.

Tightening his hold on you, he smiled softly to himself, closing his eyes as he waited to be lulled to a peaceful sleep.
